Went to sears today to buy this adapter set in person, looked at the package, and like almost all other craftsman tools, its made in CHINA now....
They move production to china but yet keep the prices the same as "MADE IN USA" prices...
I refuse to EVER buy ANY craftsman tools made in china.
If I want to buy Chinese tools, I will buy another "off brand" for much, much cheaper.

The package clearly states that the adapters are made in China. In my opinion, Sears cannot guarantee the quality of the item (although I'm sure that they have considered the low cost of replacing those that break) for anything made in China. Sears should not charge Craftsman prices for this product.

Over time, I have come to need this item for some particularly difficult (tight fit) repairs on various vehicles. If you are building up your tool set, this is a must have item.

I found that after purchasing the Craftsman 309 piece mechanics tool set that a few bonus tools were needed. I hit the jackpot with the Craftsman adapter set! This is a MUST HAVE in any toolbox. The set includes 1/4 to 3/8 in., 3/8 to 1/4 in., 3/8 to 1/2 in., and 1/2 to 3/8 in. adapters. Wow, this allows for a nice quick change to other sizes because sometimes autos are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you might get. This set has already paid for itself and I would recommend this to every DIYer. This also filled some empty slots in a Craftsman storage chest as well. This is a great MADE IN THE USA tool.
