I've found that these smaller sized hooks & pick are ideal for working with electronic repairs. My sausage sized fingers can get into the tight places needed to separate the wiring before soldering. If you ever perform any of these types of repairs, you'll find these tools very useful.
Oh, and by the way at 7.99 you can't beat the price for a lifetime warranty tool.
First of all, I do not abuse tools and I certainly did not misuse this tool. I know it is for light use. I bought this pick set as an impulse buy while also purchasing 4pc pick set 941513. I thought this set would be better suited for tight spaces since they are longer and handles are narrower. Both sets were the same price, however there is no comparison between the two. I first attempted to use this set to pull a plastic end cap off my toolbox handle. The "L" pick just spun around. I grabbed the end and twisted it effortlessly. I thought it was not screwed in tight but I was surprised when it pulled easily out of the handle. "Okay", I thought, must have just got a bad pick...my next attempt was with the hook. The rubber on the pick pulled half off the handle with very little effort. "Are you kidding me!" I promptly pulled the package out of the garbage and put them back for return. I was annoyed to see the "made in USA" on the back. The other pick set works good and it is well secured in the handle. Buy that one. I am restocking a much needed tool list and I hope to give many future better reviews on the +$700 worth of Craftsman tools I bought that I haven't tried yet. I hope the rest of the Craftsman brand is as good as the sets I bought in the late 80's... at least better than this set.
For the money, it's a cheap but decent set of picks. The rubber handles are a bit loose if you tug on them, but otherwise they're pretty sturdy. Great for your traveling "torture kit" or just for removing o-rings, etc.

the tips are ground down way to thin they have no support what so ever pulled an o ring from a new never installed fuel rail and the tip fell right off. on another one it fell off a table top and now there is no point

This set has come in handy on multiple occasions to grab small parts or to clean out small grooves or passages. The picks are well made and I an confident they will serve me well for years to come.
First, this is made in the USA. The metal is strong and doesn't bend under force and pressure. The cushioned grip handle is nice and doesn't move around or feel loose. It seems well attached. I used them hard today, and they didn't bend or flex under forceful use. I also like the thin profile of the tool compared to the ones with the screwdriver type of handle. Because that allows them to get into hard to reach places. They also have a nice overall length.
This pick and hook set comes in handy with some of the work that I do, the only thing that I did not like is that the foam covering on the handles tend to slip off.

These picks have many uses, I used them in automotive to remove vacuum hoses, remove clips, to separate wires and in tight places. It's a handy tool that makes a job easier and saves aggravation for something else.
