Really nice, extra tough

Used in removing heater hoses for heater core replacement. I was able to pull the hose off the barbed pipes without damaging the rubber hose. Great tool, especially in hard to access areas such as near the firewall. I would highly recommend this tool set!

 The ergonomically designed handles on this hook and pick set are very comfortable and  afford a secure grip.  The set contains a scratch awl, 90 degree hook, complex hook and curved hook. These  tools can be used to scribe, pierce, align, clean or remove o-rings, shaft seals and various other tasks. Do yourself a favor and pick up a set, your various screwdrivers, pliers and especially your fingers will thank you.

Storage is a snap as well if  you choose to use half of the clam-shell that they are packaged in.

great set for hooking and pulling stuff, but they're not quite long enough to use for radiator hosed and the like

OK - I have to admit that I only recently purchased a set of these picks.  I have worked with tools all my adult life (I'm 54) and never needed them before.  I wasn't even sure what they were used for.  But I was at the store and I did have a little extra spending money and they would look so darn good next to my professional screwdrivers.

I bought them!  I was really just feeding my addiction to purchase a tool.

After about a week, I was helping my son tune up his BMW.  Have you ever taken a good look under the hood of one of the M3 Roadsters?  Well, let me tell you, there are wires and vacuum hoses everywhere.  Not wanting to damage anything we carefully pulled the wiring harnesses out of harms way using these hooks.  My son joked, that now I really do have a tool for every job.

This pick set is perfectly designed. The handles are identical to my pro series scew drivers so they match my set perfectly. The pick heads in my opinion are the 4 most used shapes of picks. I have a master set of 24 picks at work that I use daily and I could replace them with just these 4. The price is perfect and the warrenty on a tool that will see some abuse is amazing. All in all this is a well rounded product that should find its way in to any tool box with pro series drivers. I know you are thinking when will I need those things. You will be amazed when you do find yourself needing them they will make your life 10 times easier and you will find you will use them quit often for jobs you would generally have to make harder with out even thinking about it.

While working on my truck, Iwas in need of a hook tool so that I could be able to get out the spindle nuts and locks on the four wheel drive front axle once i got them loose. I had purchased the Craftsman 4 piece hook and pick set the day before knowing that I would be in need of a tool to get all the small four wheel drive parts out of the axle. I was so glad to of had the tools needed to get the job done because if i didn't have the hook and pick set, i would be standing there trying to get the parts out with my fingers, and that would have taken me a while.

Some of the pros and cons about this product are that the hook ends are the perfect size and act likefinger extensions that have great precision. I would have liked to of had the grips just a bit smaller or the shafts to be a little longer so that you have the maximum reach and comfort while using the tools. I would definitely recommend these to a fellow mechanic. 

I can't believe I worked on cars for so many years without a good hook set like this.  Very handy for dealing with hard to reach accessories, hoses, belts, etc.
