Craftsman  4 pc. Metric Flare Nut Wrench Set

Great tools - Just ordered a set from the website and they were shipped to the store fast. Luckily they gave me a made in USA. I was hoping for that since all the flare wrenches in store are made in Taiwan.

The raised-panel Craftsman flare (brake line) wrenches are strong, they don't flex, they grip like glue and dont smudge up with fingerprints like the polished sets do.  I've been using these tools for over 20 years and they have not once failed to deliver.  I've tried my buddie's SO tools and didn't think they were any better at doing the job they were designed to do, but man, they were a LOT more expensive.  Let's hope that Craftsman continues to make these tools in the USA.  I won't buy Chinese Craftsman hand tools.  I'd rather buy a used set of American tools off **** than take my broken Craftsman tool to Sears to be replaced by an inferior Chinese product.

I went with Craftsman for my flare *** wrenches because I wanted to be sure the wrenches would fit my brake line fittings snuggly.  They were perfect and much better quality than the ************** ones I was considering.  I definitely appreciate having the lifetime warranty (however you don't usually put much force on flare *** wrenches so they should be fine).

Your toolbox is probably full of many different type of wrenches so you are thinking "why would I need a flared nut wrench?  Well, if you are dealing with fuel or hydraulic lines you need a flare nut wrench.  Sure, you can manage to loosen and tighten those fittings with an open end wrench but the risk of slipping off the fitting is greater.  These wrenches will not be used as often as a regular open end but you will be thankful you have them when you easily loosen and tighten flared fittings.  The Craftsman wrenches are comparable to any off of the tool trucks in quality but at a better price.  Never a problem, wrenches always fit perfectly.

I used mine on hydraulic fittings on aircraft so they got more of a workout than most sets of these wrenches.  I would expect that the line mechanic today will have both SAE and metric sets with the number ofAirbus, Embraer, and CASA aircrft flying in the domestic fleet currently.

I was in need of a set of metric line/flare nut wrenches to match my SAE set and I could never be happier with this product.

A great value for flare nut wrenches. although the snap-on version is quite better, but tripple the money.

I use these wrenches mostly for brake lines.  They are good wrenches and at a very good price.  I won't say they are comparable to Snap-On's, but they've never let me me down at 1/10th of the price.  They are also made in the USA.  I will NOT buy a Craftsman tool made in China. 

Made the mistake of buying a no name 3 piece metric flare nut wrench set from the local auto parts store. I needed a 10 mm flare nut to remove brake line to replace cylinder. The auto parts store wrench immediately started to round off the fitting. I stopped before it was too late, drove over to Sears and bought a Craftsmen 10mm. It took the fitting right off. The cheap stuff is going back to the auto parts store. You can't beat the quality of Craftsmen tools. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!
