This set was a backup purchase to one I dragged my feet one getting around the holidays (8 pc. plier set). So far, it is the quality I've come to expect. No issues. Rubber gripping does not slide or move.

Lifetime Warranty is why I buy craftsman. The extra deals offered on sears online is why I rarely go to buy in store! I don't know if it is ok to say what the sales price I got these for in a review so I'll just say it was substantially lower than the standard repeating 10% deal sears runs on tools. However even if that was not the case I would still have bought them even at regular price. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a serious set of pliers.... for instance if you plan to rewire a standard 15 amp wall outlet you really should have a 8 inch pair of long nose, Duck bill pliers are great for holding small nails when hammering them in so you don't smash your fingers, the wide jaw pliers are great for everything from cutting wire to nails to wood and the linesman pliers are a must have for working with anything thicker than 14 gauge wire. That being said to jump back to the warranty ... my linesman pliers had a defect that really shocked me to see they left the factory after inspection. They had a serious stiff spot caused by a bad grinding job around the hinges and improper alignment at the end grip. But because of the warranty this is easily fixed with a exchange at my local sears. All 3 of the other pliers were in perfect condition and should last many years before needing replacement.
