An adjustable wrench is generally not the first tool you will grab to accomplished assigned tasks. But, if you are having to carry a bag out of tools out to an aircraft on the flight line (or to your buddies' 4X4 broken-down on a dirt road), a couple of adjustable wrenches give you coverage of all sizes of fasteners without a severe weight penalty. I always carry an eight inch and a four inch adjustable wrench in my "bug-out" tool bag. But I have a couple of sizes left over sitting in my rollaway. Where did they come from? Well, from sets such as this four-wrench offering. Craftsman offers much better pricing on sets of tools compared to buying them as individual open-stock items.
