Nice attachment
I wish I would have bought one of these years ago. Assembly was straight forward and easy. The assembly instructions are ok. A little larger illustrations would be helpful. I found the exploded parts list illustration to be the most helpful. I had this assembled with the aid of a helper in less then 1/2 hour. Don't let the 2 or 3 hour assembly time reviews keep you from buying this. I also had extra nuts and bolts. The tines come pre installed, all that is required on assembly is the hitch and wheels, with handle. A total of 21 bolt and nuts if I remember right. This detatcher did a great job. I am using this on a little over 1-1/2 acres that are bumpy and have many slopes. I added two 15 pound dumbells to keep the tines down and in my opinion it did a wonderful job. Make sure you sweep after you detach so you can get the thatch off the lawn. (Or mow and bag it). Looking forward to seeing how my yard will look compared to my neighbors. That will be the real test.

It works well...But not easy to assemble
First off, let me say that this dethatcher does a good job. It removed quite of bit of thatch from my yard. But what a pain to assemble. First off I didn't get enough bolts with my unit so you can imagine the frustration. The bolts are hard to get tightened and in very obscure spots which make putting this dethatcher together not a fun job. Plus the directions don't really tell you how to get this thing leveled and the arm working. Great product once assembled, but give yourself about 2 hours to put together and feel a little frustrated.

works fantastic

this dethacher is great. just make sure you put just enough weight on so the tines do not dig in to deep

Worked GREAT! But assembly was a PAIN!

This dethatcher works much better than I had hoped... I love it! One pass through my yard before the spring rains did the job. My grass has now come in better than ever before. But, by the time I was done putting it together I was pretty aggravated. The instructions ares dismal. The drawings are so poor, it's a wonder anybody can get this thing together correctly. I read these reviews about people having a tough time, but I thought, "how bad can it be?". Bad. I hope Sears sees these comments and has the instructions re-worked. Again, works great (if you can calm yourself down after putting it together!).

I would recommend this product to a friend.

works well, assembly instructions are HORRIBLE!

Product works as advertised and you can't beat the price. The assembly is a HORRIBLE and tiring affair of unclear instruction steps and very tiny pictures that are not clear enough to see what is meant.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Yard looks great!

My husband reports the dethatcher was a pain to assemble and needs some extra weight, but with the weight works well.

Great Product!

Most people do not realize the importance of dethatching their lawn but it can make all the difference in the world! I dethatch in the spring and fall and this attachment saves me from either raking by hand or hiring an expensive service.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Ph D Required for Assembly

Great item but I had no idea it would be this confusing, not so much difficult, to put together. Look at the pics in the box, better assistance then diagrams. And I have out a lot of things together, without instructions. My wife event came outside and could not believe I was still putting it together. Maybe I was having a brain ****.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works well

Takes a long time to set up but the instructions are good. Was nervous about the plastic wheels but so far they seem to be working well. The thatcher brought up about 6 39 gal bags of dead grass off of .3 acres... I was pretty impressed for the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

best for the money

sturdy, heavy gauge steel construction. assembly plans less than easily followed because of small print and no closeup views of parts and there locations to the assembly. it takes patience to construct!!! as for the completed dethatcher, very well constructed

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Glad I got it!

This unit did a good job on my yard. It did take me about 2 hours to get it put together but I was in no rush. I did use the interacted video that was listed on the box to put it together. ( agri-fab.showuhow.com ) just enter the model # and it will walk you through the whole process if putting it together. I have never used a dethatcher befor, I will never use a rake again to dethatch my yard. Good unit for the price. One last note, do use some weight on it for it to dig down deep enough.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cleans up the thatch

Had to use 2 cinderblocks to get some good depth while raking my lawn. Does the trick for pulling up all the dead grass. Only problem was had to mow after to suck up all the dead grass But that is to be expected. Great product.
