I've owned several tool roll-away carts over the past 35 years and have found this 14 drawer premium 40" Craftsman to fit my storage needs perfectly. It's no nonsense, simplistic design approach helps it perform exactly as I need to organize, protect and be efficient with my valuable tool collections!
The unit is very solid, has ball bearing drawer guides that seem to work better with each tool I add (believe me, they are loaded down too), easy open latch pulls that lock the drawers securely closed, a great arrangement of drawer sizes and configurations to fit every tool I need, a clean and easy to maintain rust-resistant paint surface and as great a competitive price as you can find in any brand!
I soon added the matching 40" single drawer chest and 40" 8-drawer top chest to this 40" rolling cart assembly. Due to the additional weight of the matching top chest and tools, I replaced the 5" plastic wheels with the Heavy Duty 6" Industrial Craftsman wheels.
It's taken me years to establish a useful and sizable tool investment and with this complete storage system, I've created a tremendous “Toolman's Storage Dream”!

I bought his on sale at half price over the weekend. I consolidated my tools from a 26" rolling cabinet, w/middle chest/ and top chest, and still have two extra drawers. Durable, very good locking system, Griplatch drawers are so much better than Sears "basic" craftsman tool cabinets. At half price- it's well worth the money. I also cut and used the cardboard box as a non slip drawer liner it's good to go. I don't know why some complain about the casters. I have an uneven garage floor and this thing rolls over the bumps and humps with ease.

Drawer must be opened from center or the griplatch will hang on one side or the other. Poor construction. Parts don't fit nearly as well as in the past.

decent for a first serious toolbox. the finish does not resist against smudges

Its a good beginner box if you've started wrenching for a living, but i'd recommend getting something thats a little deeper and has a wider stance as this box has tipped over on me before. And the grip latch doesnt always work. and fyi, you can't buy parts for this if it breaks.

I purchased this tool cart and was very pleased at the condition of it when I got it home. Some of the reviews that I had read indicated issues with dents and griplatch issues. My cart was in great shape, all drawers functioned as they should and I had no issues with the griplatch. Great tool cart for the money.

Owned craftsman tool boxes for almost 50 years and this is the best one ever. I have always wanted a really big box for all my great tools and this one holds them all. The 50% off sale allowed me to make this purchase. Thanks Sears for an awesome product and fantastic price.

I bought the lower half of this item on black friday a couple months ago for around $470 and I am very happy with my purchase. It's a small box and not very fancy however it definitely gets the job done. I think regular price is around $900+ dollars. I don't know if I would pay that much for it but for my discounted price I can't complain. For reference, I'm an aircraft mechanic at Cessna and there are 2 other guys on the floor at my shop with this toolbox. Its no matco or snapon but it seems to hold up pretty well at least when first starting out.
