Craftsman  413 pc. Mechanics Tool Set

I lost everything to a fire and thought this set would suffice from losing 20 years worth of tools , I was right , then I bought the 13 drawer tool box to house them . Everything I work on has been fixed with this set!

When I ordered this socket set, I was worried where this set was made, China, Taiwan, or USA, and as of November 27, all 413 pieces are stamped MADE IN USA. I had to return one adapter, and one socket, which they had no problem replacing at the local sears store. Overall, this useful set has a great selection of wrenches and sockets and will be a valuable addition to any garage for the money.

I was risen on Craftsman tools, so when it came to buying my first tool set, Craftsman was a no brainer(duh.) This thing is LOADED! Every socket you can think of is in here, and nut drivers to boot. I love it. Sure, this kit does'nt include screw drivers or fancy wrenches, but all the basics are here and you can add all those other must-haves with other sets. The only bummer was I wound up with two P1 sockets and no P2 socket. So be sure to read all the labes when you audit you kit. Also one of my 5/8 deep sockets is labled on the wrong end (no big deal, I think its kinda neat.) Other than that, no complaints. Love it.  : ]

I bought this set for my son as an 18th birthday gift. He had a Craftsman tool cabinet and wanted something to fill it. This set gave a lot of tools for the money and is pretty much complete on sockets & wrenches. I stressed to him that these tools will last him the rest of his life if he takes care of them.

Bought this set for work.  I haven't come across a time that I've needed a socket I didn't have.  Comes with torx, 6-pt, and 12 pt of the most common sizes.  Great value for the price.  I did have one torx socket that wasn't cut, took it in and they hooked me up with another one right there. 

I purchased this as a starter set for a mechanics class at a community college. It is a great starter set, has a lot of the same size sockets in 6pt, 8pt, and 12pt. I would have rather had the flare nut wrenches and screw drivers. With that being said. this set has So much it almost filled my 7 drawer craftsman toolbox. Glad I spent the money on it.

As an electrician, I've acquired a number of screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, and wrenches necessary for work. This set gives me quite a bit of selection for sockets and combination wrenches and also nut drivers, and I am not buying tools I already have with this set

It's basically a one-stop shop in a box.  I use these tools for everything.

I bought this set after much deliberation. I only looked at Craftsman as it is the best overall value. I ended up with this set as it is the best set for someone who wants a lot of wrenches and sockets and not the other stuff. Buying add-ons to this set, I believe, will produce fewer duplication of tools. I'm not wholly impressed with the quality of the finish on the sockets. This is unrelated to the tool set. There were about 15 sockets delivered without a full finish. A few were even showing a bit of surface rust. One 11/16 socket read 1/16 and I was completely missing a 10mm socket. The missing 10mm was given without any hassle. The unfinished sockets were not replaced as Sears stated they will only replace tools that are not functioning and rusting, unfinished or mis-labeled tools function properly. Overall, the set is exciting to have and is just want I need and want, but the individual sample selection of the sockets, with the current policy, is dissappointing.
