I really like the box for the looks, the finish, the drawer extensions and the heavy duty design. the only draw back that I have is that the accessories like drawer dividers etc. do not fit it. the 41 inch box is just a little different size than the standard craftsman boxes. I have th combo with the chest also. the other thing is that box design is diferent than the standard craftsman boxes and they do not have any side lockers or side cabinets that will work with this unit and the same finish. Hopefully that will come in short time and will be reasonably priced.

IT RUSTS!
I have light surface rust over much of the box. I also have had the ball bearings fall out. I have had the plastic Griplatch "keepers" that limit the slide of the drawer (so that it won't fall out) break. Some of the drawers are hard to pull out and they stick. It looks cool but it's not very well made and not durable. Same thing goes for the #10595 box that sits on top. The old boxes were much better!

my take

I just purchased this cart and top, now I have a black model same size with top for about 9 years now, no problems, there have been some changes to the set, (all from what I can tell for the better) its much heavier then the older one. both are painted steel (I was surprised its not SS) the clear does scratch easily but touch up can be done with clear coat the grip latch drawers are the same. nice pistons added to top. locking rods enclosed. better handles on top box. better rail system and Tig welded not spot welded. if these are rusting there is an issue with the paint, or the steel it should not matter what color its painted I will keep an eye on mine,, otherwise I think it is overall a great box that's why I bought another, the griplatch is one of the most important parts to this box

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excelent for home tool storage.

This cabinet it?s great for storing your tools in a secure home environment. I do not suggest it for shop use because the locking mechanism is weak. Also if you have a welder available I would go ahead and weld all the outside supports thoroughly because only 1/4 of the support structure is welded. Over all this a GREAT cabinet for the price.

No problems

I bought this for a young lube tech at our Ford store. He put it together and is very happy with it and doesn't owe his soul to snap on. Fit and finish was good and after the sears drawer liners and a wax job per the instructions it looks and works great.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not as described.

Stainless steel does no rust and is not magnetic.. This chest will rust and you can put magnets all over it.. So at best it only has a stainless steel "finsh" Pretty much made to look like stainless. At least you touch up the painted ones when you scratch it.. Not this one..

worth every dime

you can tell the quality of this against the cheaper craftsman toolcarts. the stainless is bad *** and it doesnt dent or scratch when hit. the drawers are like butter and seem to open better and better as you add weight to them.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Great tool box combo!

I've owned both the stainless top chest and bottom cabinet combo for almost a year now and have had no negative issues with it at all. I love the full width drawers in the top chest, and all drawers open and close smoothly. It also seems that they function even smoother with more weight in them. The clear coat finish still looks new, but will scratch easily if not careful, as would any clearcoat finish. Can't say that I would recommend this finish for professional duty, but in my home garage it look great! As far as drawer liners, it didn't bother me that they weren't included because I don't care for the cheap thin craftsman liners anyway. Picked up the thicker non-slip liners on the internet and cut to fit. Purchased this combo while on sale and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for one in this price range. Unpacking and inspection while still at the store is a must! The bottom was perfect on the first attempt, but the top took three attempts before getting an undamaged one.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Check for damage before you leave the store!

I bought this online thru Crafstman.com, together with the top chest, and picked it up at my local store. When I got home, I removed the packaging before I took it out of my truck; good thing, since the rear of the unit was dented in. (There was no apparent damage to the cardboard it came in.) I took it back to the store, and the incompetent employee who tried to process my return voided my purchase and refunded my account, then tried to run the purchase again so he'd get sales credit. Unfortunately, the funds weren't credited to my account the the re-purchase was denied. I had to involve a manager to get it resolved. I was allowed to check the other remaining unit before they loaded it into my truck, and it was in great shape. When I finally got home the second time, assembly was easy and the roll-away is everything I expected. Like most others, I wish it came with drawer liners. The finish looks great, and everything works smoothly. The Griplatch handles seems flimsier than the regular ones, but I don't think it'll cause any problems. I'm rating this a "4" since the original unit was damaged and I had such a huge hassle trying to get things corrected.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
