Very impressed
First timing using today. Had to cut my slightly overgrown yard. After 40+ dumps still no clogged bagger tube with wet grass. Using reasonable cutting experience the unit worked flawlessly, my old bagger would have clogged every 30 seconds with what i was doing today. I am very impressed and would recommend to anyone. Installation was a breeze and i have nothing bad to say about this unit especially after the aggravation i used to have to deal with on old mower/bagger combo.

WARNING - Does Not Fit 42"
It says that it will fit a 42" - 46", but it does not. Don't buy it if you own a 42" 21 HP Craftsman Lawnmower. Buy the bagger specifically for the 42". Had to return this one after 1.5 hours of trying fit this thing to my machine. Called customer service and they let me know that this bagger is mis-labeled.

Good for smaller yard; Hard to assemble some parts

Assembling took me the whole day, mainly because there were some tools that's needed but not included, like hatchet and wrench. Make sure you get them first when buying this product. Also the bagger is really for a smaller yard, since it fills up pretty fast.

If it doesn't fit 42", or 46", what is it for?

I purchased this in lieu of the bagger that was made specifically for 46" mowers to save some money similarly to how the other reviewer purchased this for a 42" mower instead of the one made explicitly for it. Issues I ran into: Holes didn't exist where screws were supposed to go- I was told to drill my own holes by customer service. Seriously? There was a 4" gap where the leaves shot out to one side, and an inch on the bottom. Despite a ridiculous amount of jury rigging with duct tape it still fell INTO the blades. The pieces all fit together either too snugly or too loosely. There were three separate areas that shot out leaves. I had to stop after just starting because it was spitting leaf dust against the back of my head. The entire installation process took me two weekend days after having to go back and purchase extra parts multiple times since drilling my own holes required I use bolts and not simple screws if I wanted any stability. After all was said and done, the thing got stuck after mowing 500 feet and I returned it in disgust. I ordered the one made for a 46" mower and it was installed in 20 minutes. 20. minutes. The other one just required 2 bolts to be replaced and the rest was snapping things in to place, none of this "drill your own holes and replace 6 bolts" nonsense.

I have a newer 1400 42" cut Bagger installed great

Bought and installed it today. Was easy to install on the 42" 1400 When I finished it was lightly raining but had to try it. Cut one section of my yard and it filled both bins evenly. This bagger does everything I need.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

craftsman bagger

I like this bagger better than the one I had before. The hose is larger it just need to have 3 bins that is the only problem the bins fill up to fast. overall I say it is excellent.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easy pick-up grass containers

Though the bagger was awkward to put together, due to the size, it went together quickly and provides great clean-up. Having two smaller bags made it easier to empty and replace on the holder. Now I just need a mulching attachment for next year.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Decent Price When On Sale!

I was able to pick this up for ~$280 + tax recently during a sale. It is not worth more than $300 in my opinion. It is very convenient though and keeps the yard clear of excess grass clippings. Highly recommended as long as you can get it under $300.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easy to assemble and install

Using this bagger is better than I had hoped. you just need to check the right side bag as it fills up last. once that is topped off it's time to empty it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

It Works

Unlike an earlier review, pay attention to the instructions, think about what your doing. It assembles fine in a 42 inch mower.

What a piece of junk !!

Putting it together was the easiest thing about this. Like everybody else about 30 minutes and it's ready to go. That's about where it ends. The tube is constantly plugged !! I've waited until hte middle of the day to make sure the lawn was dry>it plugs, mowed at three higher settings>it plugs. doesn't matter what you do it plugs !! If I wanted to do it by hand I'd-a purchased a rake and hired a kid. At least I wouldn't be half as frustrated. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy let alone a friend. I can't say JUNK enough !!
