Craftsman  42 In. Deck Tractor V-Belt

Would like to give Mark a big thank you for your helpfulness. Was the right part I needed to get my tractor mowing again.

Have had my tractor for 6 years. Original belt lasted 5 years. This replacement lasted 4 months. So much for the "quality" of the brand name.

This mower belt was faulty.  We used it for less than one hour of mowing time and it shredded itself.  We have been using Craftsman riding mowers for 15 years and never had a belt behave like this.  I believe this product should be replaced free of charge and will be taking it back to the store for a replacement or refund.  I gave it a 1 star rating because it wouldn't let me give it no stars!!

After installing item, it broke within five minutes. It was shredded to pieces and was a real disappointment. I returned it and purchased a new one at a competitor for fifty percent less and it has lasted for over a month.

This belt broke first day of use. We did not return it as it may have been our fault by not installing it on a perfectly clean surface. Also it was at least $13 more expensive than **********.

I have bought a Craftsman product for years because of a great reputation. When I see the Craftsman name I associate great quality. I try to always use parts that say Craftsman...that includes this belt I bought. Always works well.

The belt was easy to install and works great! It's a thick belt and I expect it to last a long time.

 I was only able to cut the grass one time before the belt was stretched to long, even after adjustment. I was told I had to use a Craftsman Belt not another cheaper brand. But after all this I feel I was ripped off. I'll find a belt somewhere else that will work.

Belt works fine under heavy abuse. I expect it to last 2 seasons like the last one and the ones before it. Installation was just as easy as the last one. I don't see a difference with the new manufacturer. It transfers the power to the blades effectively, but I expect thtat.

Sears should sell a original belt for the mowers they sell not just Craftsman. We were told because our Husquvarna mower was 5 years old we will need to use a non-original replacement belt. It works but its thinner and narrower then the original.
