I purchased this mower because I no longer can walk behind a regular mower.
All I do now is direct and ride. It is a good smooth ride and it takes care of all I need to do to my yard. I also purchased the attachment bag to collect all the cuttings and now all I have to do is fill up the trash bags and let them be picked up at the curve on trash day. I do not have to rake like before! I am now able to take care of my own yard, the way I want it, and save my energy, do not have to work as hard, and my neighbors always notice which yards are kept up. I feel good about the how the grass looks and it also enriches the all over looks of the property. Thanks to Craftsman and the products they offer to the customers. I also took advantage of buying while on a special sale.

      High maintenance low cutting
The salesperson convinced me to pay extra for the ext warranty and service, claiming the oil changes and any service was included. Turns out there is no service included. Had to use the warranty the first year. Was going to use it again when it wouldnt start the 2nd year but it was going to take 2 weeks for someone to come out. I went online and figured out how to fix it myself (problem with the rocker arms). Also the highest setting cuts too low, scalps the lawn alot. Now I am stuck with it.

      DO Not buy this mower

I would like to tell you Sears is selling a good product, but I can not. I bought this riding mower 2 years ago and used it 64 times for about 34 mins each. I have had the service team out 6 times. First the choke broke, then the motor died. Then they installed the motor. But they installed it wrong. So they fixed it. Two weeks later the choke broke and all the oil leaked out. It worped the head and they came out and tightned it down. The choke broke agian. They fixed that and tightened up the oil leaks. They are now replaceing the motor agian. DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS I never never regreted a product or customer service team more.

      NICE MACHINE

WELL, IT CAME A WEEK LATE WITH A FLAT TIRE. I AIRED UP THE TIRE AND IT WAS FLAT THE NEXT DAY SO I SCHEDULED A REPAIR, THEY WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK. I ALSO OREDED THE PICK UP THAT WAS ON SALE AND INSTALLED IT TODAY WITH NO PROBLEM. I ALSO ORDERED THE BUMPER WHICH WAS A PAIN TO PUT ON, THE DIRECTIONS WERE CONFUSING BUT I GOT IT DONE.

This one is our second nice little ryder. very nice mower.

I bought this one for the main yard. Will use it more often then the bigger one. It will go in between my decks and around the house. It starts easy has 5 deck adjustments. It has one speed but can go very fast. Makes a very good cut and leaves the grass looking good

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Its been 8 months. I totally regret this purchase...

My mistake for buying the cheapest mower available BUT it is a Craftsman and I've had very few problems over the years(I'm 61) with their products. This unit is clutch driven. Left foot only. No brake. no gas. As you release the clutch, you go. Depress, you slow and stop. Well, most of the time. The clutch is very touchy for one thing. Another is when you're wide open, your foot barely fits below the clutch to bring it up THEN forward for a safe stop. Some of the time it does not move at all. Forward. Reverse. Nothing. Sometimes if you "rock" the mower while in gear, it will take off unexpectedly. Other times you go nowhere until you eventually find the magic gar to move. This is really a dangerous design. I've already had a Tech out to replace the belts that kept slipping and he pronounced the unit fine. Since then its become harder to get in gear. Thanks goodness for the 3 year in-home warranty but it seems this model really really needs. If I could return it today, I would.

      Unsatisfactory product

I purchased this product back in the spring and have two issues. The deck will drop without warning and team up the yard. More importantly the darn engine smokes and is really hard to start. The Sears service guy has tried to repair this thing two different times. Sears has always been known for quality but this machine is not a quality machine!

Not off to a good start.

Had to push the Tractor off of the truck it would not go into gear. Delivery driver worked on it and found the belt was off. Once he got it on it went into gear. Not sure how much faith I have that it will stay on. Ordered deck wheels to go with it that were listed on the Web Site with the tractor. They do not fit this deck and I will have to return. Having the mulching blades put on tomorrow but put the plug in it tonight and mulched the leaves and it did a faily good job with just the standard blade should do evern better with the mulching blades that I purchased with the Tractor. The tractor came completely assembled much to my surprise I thought there were things I would have to do. Very happy about that. Even installed the bagger which I also purchaed. May feel better and increase number of stars later but concerned when right off the truck it wouldn't go in gear. Time will tell but first time cutting went very well.
