Craftsman  42'' 24hp Turn Tight™ Hydrostatic Yard Tractor Non CA

Purchased the YT4000 earlier this week and used it yesterday to mow my yard. Until yesterday I had never used a riding mower. That changed yesterday and I have to say that the YT4000 was easy to figure out and fun to use. It did a wonderful job on my grass and the job was done almost effortlessly. I can hardly wait to mow the grass again!

Great mower for the money. Only had one problem. It was hard to start. But fixed this by adjusting the throttle linkage so it would choke better. Now it starts great. Yard looks good after mowing.

I love this mower. I bought it about two months ago. Lots of power and never bogs down in high damp grass. One problem I have is that my yard is not perfectly flat the tires lose grip all the time. I'm thinking of getting the chains but I fear that will eat up my lawn. I would give it 5 stars if it had better tires. The Murray that this mower is replacing had much better tire grip on it and rarely spun.

Geat value. Lots of power. 2/3's of my lawn is on a hill not a slope. This tractor climbs it with no effort pulling universal yard cart. Great turning radius. Cuts well. When starting cold, I put the throttle on half then crank it for about 2 seconds. Then while still cranking, push it up to choke and it fires right up. Starts up with no choke easily after warmed. The turn tight is what sold me on this model plus more features and more power for less money. Longevity remains to be seen. Recomended.

I purchased the tractor 3 week ago,no issues, starts on first try. So far I have been using to the tractor to pull a trailer full of firewood and a log splitter in the woods. I was impressed on how well it was able to pull the log splitter through the woods without getting stuck or slowing down. Once the grass grows I will update my review.

Only used it once so far and only on part of the yard. Started right up and was a nice cut on lawn! After delivery all I did was put gas in the tank and it turned right over with one touch of the key! Will write more later after I use it a while.

I bought this at the Sears outlet center and felt the price was fare. I did purchase an extended warranty as well. The tractor starts extremely easy and has plenty of power. I have cut grass yet, but have been hauling refuse around my lot with a cart. The ride is quite rough on uneven ground, but for the price it's understandable. I would like a horn as well.

Bought this for my hubby to get away from always working on old mowers to keep them running. This has been worse than the old ones. Terrible assembly and poor design features. After a few months of proper use and maintenance, it is almost impossible to crank. Cleaned the fuel system as suggested by service tech -- same story. When it does get started, it won't keep running, which means it's impossible to use. Makes it seem like the purpose of its design is to force you to buy a new one every season. I definitely will not be buying another one!

Delivery was on time, absolutely no starting problems whatsoever, in fact it turned over immediately. I was very surprised at how smooth and quiet the engine was, and when I began mowing, blade engagement was also very low noise. After using " el cheapo " mowers over the last 15 years or so, I hope my investment pays off. I purchased a 3 bin bagging unit, and installation was quick and easy. I had to adjust the anti - scalp wheels, and the cutting deck was balanced out perfectly.I have some oak trees on the property, so the leaf cleanup went smoothly.Grass cut looks beautiful, and the turn tight is beautiful to work with, especially around trees. I read quite a few reviews before buying this machine, hope my review helps those who are considering buying this one. It's a lawn tractor folks, not an Escalade.
