I have a craftsman sweeper for about 3 years now. When I first bought it, I had a problem with wheels locking up. I adjusted the brush height and the problem went away. At first I adjusted the height **** lower thinking that it would raise the brushes until I realized the adjustment had to be raised to a higher slot hole. The wheels ride freely and the sweeper is a blessing since I am 66 years old. Another great product.
First off for the assembly - it is easy to tear the hopper when you attach the upper hopper support frame to the lower if you aren't careful. Also suggest having someone assist if possible during the hopper assembly. Secondly, as for making leaf pick up a breeze, that would be a far stretch. It does make it less effort but if you have many trees like I do, even this fills up quickly and you are riding over to your dump spot frequently. All in all - it does save your back, but not time. Not really much different than just mowing the lawn (assuming you have a grass catcher attached). So far I do not see where it is worth the price.
We have 3 acres of lawn and this thing works wonders at picking up cut grass, leaves and any other debris. Dont use the dumping handle included. I tied a rope to it and it works much better. I cannot speak to long range quality because I have only had it for a few months.
1 1/2 hours to set up. About what I expected. Go to the video website and watch all the how to videos on setting up first before you get started. Easy to empty and run. Picked up everything I wanted to pick up. Went High speed on my lawn tractor and had no problems.
This is my second craftsman lawn sweeper. I bought this one thinking it would be more heavy duty and it had a handle to dump the basket. Well, it is simply JUNK. I should have packed it back up as soon as I felt the bag - it is so flimsy, I just knew it would rip. I'm a 60 year old woman, the darn thing ripped as I put it together! I'm certain it will not hold up to one sweep of my lawn. I should have suspected something was not well made when I discovered this item doesn't come with an extended warranty. Please save your hard earned money. If you need a sweeper, buy the less expensive one. At least its a bit better in quality although the wheels lock up at times. I owned my last one for about 6 years. I should have taken the reviews more seriously before I purchased this.

Here in the south, the first signs of Spring are starting, and we still hadn't raked our yard from Fall. Hubby is out of town so I decided to order this lawn sweeper to make the work easier. Picked it up and assembled it on Saturday. I didn't have any problems with the assembly. Each "step" in the instructions is really 2 or 3 steps, but easy to follow. I didn't have to undo/redo anything, as some others have said they had to. Maybe they've improved the instructions, because this went together pretty easily for me. Hooked up to my lawn mower on Sunday and off I went. It took a couple trials to get the right setting for this southern lawn that is still in dormancy, but once I got it set, the sweeper worked great! Is it exactly as good as hand raking? No, but it's pretty close, plus I finished in one afternoon what normally would take several days (3.5 acres-lots of leaves/pine straw) and the lawn looks great with no griping (him) and no nagging (me). Wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
