This mower is very nice. It is built by Husqvarna, so quality is built into it. Cuts very nice, and a lot of very nice features that the more expensive Husqvarna has. My wife loves the cut in reverse feature. Check your tire pressure (mine was high) and the scalping wheels. For $1424 it is a lot of mower for the price.

We bought this tractor because it fit our budget and we have trusted the quality of Sears' products in the past. We have maintained and operated the tractor according to the manual instructions and common sense and it has been garage-kept. After only 1 year the tractor stalled during operation twice. The second time it wouldn't restart. After research it appears to be the starter solenoid that is the problem. It took a 20-minute argument with Sears to arrange for someone to stick to the 2-year full warranty. Now we will have to wait for 10 days for a repairman to fix it and HOPE that they don't try to bill us. We are glad it will be fixed but frustrated that it is broken in only 1 year.

have an acre of land with some minor hills. From the first start the deck sounded like a bag of rocks when blades engaged. After only SIX cuts the belt blew and rapped around the blades. Power is very poor going up small hills. Went back to store and they give you the deer in the headlights look. A lot different from when they are trying to sell you something. If you take the chance and purchase this mower I hope that you have flat property. The quality on this machine is why Sears pushes the extended warranty. They should focus on manufacturing quality products that don't require a costly warranty. Last time shopping at Sears.

I bought this to replace a 6 year old craftsman 42" that i took to our lake property. There were 3 at the store 2 had broken battery boxes, and 1 had a problem with the brake so they gave me the floor model. I mowed the day i got it home, and it mowed ok, just sounded like it was going to fall apart on any piece of ground that was rmotely uneven or sloped. Later when I went to put it away, it wouldnt start, and you could hear sparks behind the panel by the gas tank - not cool. Returned the next day and just bought a ********** x320, no more messing around with the cheap stuff.

Bought this at the beginning of the 2013 season and have used it 4 times on my one acre lawn. First the good: It does a very good job and gets the job done FAST, it is super quick. The seating position is comfortable. My legs are a bit short, so when I need to apply the brake, I have to scooch up a little, but it's not a big deal. The steering is incredible. It really does make some super sharp turns. That is great when you are trying to line up the next pass with your previous one. The bad: It takes forever to start when cold. It takes me upwards of 20 minutes to get it going on a cold start (warm starts are no issue). Also, it has 6 positions for the deck height, but positions 1-3 are so short, you are practically tearing up the ground. I stick with position 4 which is still a bit tight. All in all, a good deal for the price. I've only had it a few months, so I cannot attest for long term quality.

After the lawn tractor was delivered, it did not run correctly. We now have to wait for a tech to come out to check it out. When you guy something new you expect it to run. That is why we did not buy a used tractor. We are unhappy with this purchase.

Very under powered. Too Much Blade for this Motor, which has much less power than my 20 year old 18 horse Briggs

Deck vibrates to much. Mower can not be raised very high. If you have any hills get something bigger. Would be good for flat smooth lawns, not for rougher acreages.

I read some of the reviews on most mowers in this class. Most of the people with early on problems sounds like some bolts coming loose and causing problems, on the older ones? with motor problems did they do oil changes, did they leave it out in rain?, so and so on...look the unit is made by Husky for sears the motors are B&S or Kohler ya some have problems but should have bought the warranty ...OK as for me I have no problems as of yet...but owning tractor trailers it taught to me check mower before each use oil, tires...and importantly nuts and bolts. 1 cly motors have more vibration than 2 cyl models it's a question of balancing....so if you have 1 cly model do yourself a favor and check all the bolts...mower blades are most important and if you bend a blade it will make the whole unit vibrate and self destruct. OH! you have to run the motor on full throttle or it will vibrate it tells you this in the book, don't use your brake use the trans. you will take out the thrust bearing.
