      Customer Service and Vibration?
So first off, I went to Sears to buy a different mower than this. it was priced higher in the store than online, and after pointing this out, they gave me the online price. (if they didn't. I could have just bought it online while in the store and got that price anyways, so no big difference). The next day I went to pick it up and it had a dent in it, and made a clicking noise when we went to push it to load it. Not wanting to chance it in case it had issues (transmission?) they offered me an upgrade to this mower and split the increase in price with me. (online price on this one as well) So customer service gets 5 stars! Now after I got it home, I checked some reviews on it and a few folks were unhappy because it vibrates WAY too much when the blades are engaged. A bit worried, I fired it up, engaged blades and sure enough, it vibrated a lot. Thinking that these are assembled somewhere rather quickly, I was ready to grab a wrench and check the obvious things like perhaps a loose bolt on one of the blades. I then realized the cause.. Before engaging the blades, the engine needs to on full speed. The control for this will actually click in when its wide open. I didn't have it on full, but closer to 7/8 of max. I restarted it, opened up the engine to full and engaged the blades again. It runs smooth, no vibrations, and cuts beautifully. 5 stars for the mower itself too..

      Real disappointed
I bought this tractor becuase I have always had pretty good luck with craftsman. I have 2 other riding mowers ,one is a 2000 model the other is a 1999 I think. They have their quirks but they are still good. I figured it was time for a new one so I bit the bullet. I got the mower home waited a few days, bad weather, got the mower out did everything by the owners manual, started it up and it purred like a kitten drove it around and said yea this is a ticket! I went to check the cutting height of the deck and low and behold, this thing only cuts 3 heights, down to the dirt, a little higher and almost where I need it out of 6 positions. I gave it a shot and adjusted the anti scalping wheels (the lowest hole) well it cut great but the vibration when you engage the blade and start cutting is going to shake the mower apart. I thought I could deal with the height setting but the vibration is out of this world. My old mowers don't vibrate like this and they are old. The speed is not what you would think it would be either. I got the trailer hooked up and going to take it back I can't believe the vibration, if you were to put a can soda, or other beverage in the cup holder it will empty the can.

This is a great tractor. Very easy to operate. It is also very sturdy. Great for yards that are inclined. It was nearly effortless to use. I am very happy with the quality of this tractor and I recommend it to everyone that is interested in buying a tractor.

      great mower

this is a great mower for the price I got it for on black Friday. I have read a lot of bad reviews on this mower about excessive vibration. have not had any problem with that, IT IS A LAWN MOWER NOT A CADALAC what do they expect!! some reviews I read complained about a bumpy ride, once again it is a lawn mower. some reviews said it uses to much gas well it has a 19 hp motor how much gas do you except it to use. I would recommend this mower to any one that is looking for one I have no complaints at all. Wish it would have come with an hour meter but I have one on order for it. The 19hp Briggs motor is plenty of power. Reasons for purchasing was the price, six inch turn radius, Briggs motor and cast iron axle. seems to be very well built. Also built by Husqvarna not MTD. Like some of the mowers are.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Watch out! Here comes nana. :)

I have a yard, not a lawn. My mower can handle the unevenness of my yard. When I get to the grass clumps I mow them in sections. Better results.

      Exactly what we needed.

We have had one Kraftsman lawn mower for about 15 years. It was wore out but still good to cut fields with and other things. We like to bag our grass and leaves to use in flower beds, and this one was gone. Anyway, we went with a cheaper lawn mower three years ago. It has been a piece of junk since we bought it and has spent more time in the shop than it has cutting grass.

      She's Happy!

This mower was purchased as a gift for my mother in law. She was extremely happy. Looking forward to doing yard work again. I would have liked the side pieces, that attach to hood, to be sturdier though.

      Fine mower!!

I purchased this Craftsman mower expecting it to be good and I was right. It is a very good mower. It cuts perfectly and it does it fast. My previous mower could not cut the grass short because it would bog down a bit. This mower does it and doesn't break a sweat! I also purchased the mulching attachment. I have had this on my other Craftsman mowers but this one makes mulching even thick leaves a breeze! I mulched a neighbors leaves that had accumulated for a month and it took care of them easily. This is the first Automatic transmission I have had and I love it! I did have to learn that I could not mow in reverse. At first that was a negative for me but now it is not a problem. From some other reviews I was worried it would have a lot of excessive vibration, but gladly it is not a problem. I have a rather "bumpy" lawn and I did not need any more vibrations! I want to mention the delivery men. I was extremely impressed with them. When I opened my garage door they had it all ready. They took 10-15 minutes pointing out pretty much everything I needed to know about the mower. I asked about the mulching attachment and they had already installed the blades and cover. Awesome! This more than made up for the 2-day delay in receiving the mower! If you are considering this mower I say go for it! I am very happy with mine. It is well worth it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
