works well. Easy to operate. Starts quickly. Doesn't bog down in thick grass. Price was good. Cut my mowing time in half versus my self propelled push mower. Have used it 10 times to mow my 2 acres of paradise. Very satisfied
the deck vibrates, more than I would like on a new mower hope the belts don't brake due to vibration, this is the 3rd craftman mower ive had in 20 years hope it holds up,?

So first off, I went to Sears to buy a different mower than this. it was priced higher in the store than online, and after pointing this out, they gave me the online price. (if they didn't. I could have just bought it online while in the store and got that price anyways, so no big difference). The next day I went to pick it up and it had a dent in it, and made a clicking noise when we went to push it to load it. Not wanting to chance it in case it had issues (transmission?) they offered me an upgrade to this mower and split the increase in price with me. (online price on this one as well) So customer service gets 5 stars! Now after I got it home, I checked some reviews on it and a few folks were unhappy because it vibrates WAY too much when the blades are engaged. A bit worried, I fired it up, engaged blades and sure enough, it vibrated a lot. Thinking that these are assembled somewhere rather quickly, I was ready to grab a wrench and check the obvious things like perhaps a loose bolt on one of the blades. I then realized the cause.. Before engaging the blades, the engine needs to on full speed. The control for this will actually click in when its wide open. I didn't have it on full, but closer to 7/8 of max. I restarted it, opened up the engine to full and engaged the blades again. It runs smooth, no vibrations, and cuts beautifully. 5 stars for the mower itself too..
We bought this mower for a great price and got 20% using a shop your way coupon. The right turn radius is great for going around trees and plants. It cuts well even when the grass is quite deep. The seat is comfortable.

Unfortunately I read the reviews on this BEFORE I bought it. Got it delivered to me yesterday afternoon. Read the reviews in the morning before I got home to ride it. The reviews about the vibrations (when the blades are engaged) and the tractor being under-powered are dead on. The lack of speed didn't bother me as much as the vibrations. I've been using a 17 year old tractor which seemed like driving a Ferrari compared to this. Can't speak to the reliability of the tractor as I have only used it once. With all that said...it DID do a great job on the lawn but again I would agree with the negative reviews regarding the fact that this particular deck has NO business being on this tractor. I would say driving the tractor without the blades engaged, the ride is as smooth as silk (albeit a little under-powered). The deck seems like it is great as well, just too much power for this particular tractor.
