Customer Service and Vibration?
So first off, I went to Sears to buy a different mower than this. it was priced higher in the store than online, and after pointing this out, they gave me the online price. (if they didn't. I could have just bought it online while in the store and got that price anyways, so no big difference). The next day I went to pick it up and it had a dent in it, and made a clicking noise when we went to push it to load it. Not wanting to chance it in case it had issues (transmission?) they offered me an upgrade to this mower and split the increase in price with me. (online price on this one as well) So customer service gets 5 stars! Now after I got it home, I checked some reviews on it and a few folks were unhappy because it vibrates WAY too much when the blades are engaged. A bit worried, I fired it up, engaged blades and sure enough, it vibrated a lot. Thinking that these are assembled somewhere rather quickly, I was ready to grab a wrench and check the obvious things like perhaps a loose bolt on one of the blades. I then realized the cause.. Before engaging the blades, the engine needs to on full speed. The control for this will actually click in when its wide open. I didn't have it on full, but closer to 7/8 of max. I restarted it, opened up the engine to full and engaged the blades again. It runs smooth, no vibrations, and cuts beautifully. 5 stars for the mower itself too..

Real disappointed
I bought this tractor becuase I have always had pretty good luck with craftsman. I have 2 other riding mowers ,one is a 2000 model the other is a 1999 I think. They have their quirks but they are still good. I figured it was time for a new one so I bit the bullet. I got the mower home waited a few days, bad weather, got the mower out did everything by the owners manual, started it up and it purred like a kitten drove it around and said yea this is a ticket! I went to check the cutting height of the deck and low and behold, this thing only cuts 3 heights, down to the dirt, a little higher and almost where I need it out of 6 positions. I gave it a shot and adjusted the anti scalping wheels (the lowest hole) well it cut great but the vibration when you engage the blade and start cutting is going to shake the mower apart. I thought I could deal with the height setting but the vibration is out of this world. My old mowers don't vibrate like this and they are old. The speed is not what you would think it would be either. I got the trailer hooked up and going to take it back I can't believe the vibration, if you were to put a can soda, or other beverage in the cup holder it will empty the can.

Great riding Mower!

I was set out to buy a quality riding lawn mower that I would be able to use in my 1 acre lot. I looked at John Deer, Troy built, and Craftsman. For the money and quality I could not go wrong with this mower. What really completed the deal was the very tight turn radius. To the best of my knowledge, it is the tightest in its category. I also impressed with the separate key position that allows you to move in reverse as well. Overall a great mower.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

So Far, So Good.

I bought this riding lawn mower 3 months ago and it is still mowing like a champ. I love the automatic speed adjustment. It does a great job mowing and is easy to clean up with the water hose attachment. I also bought the bumper to go on the front to keep it from getting damaged. It protects it against dents and looks nice, also.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Really a great purchase!

My 3.5 acres are very hilly and have multiple obstacles. I was without a mower for about a month or so and my grass was wet and high when I took the maiden voyage with this tractor. This thing performed way better than I expected. It did struggle a bit when the cuttings got piled up but it kept on chugging. As far as vibration is concerned I didn't notice anything that would make me even think about it. I am very pleased and can't wait for the grass to grow again!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

good mower - good price

I was happy to find a close out model at my local sears for a great price. I have been even happier to find out how tight a radius turn it can make. The mower so far has been great

New Purchase

I would recommend this riding mower to anyone as long as they know how to adjust the deck wheels or get someone to do it for you. It mowed excellent on hilly and level ground. It is fast and easy to use once you know what all the lever are for.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Noisy but Solid

First off like others have said this thing rattles and shakes alot with the blades engaged but that said it does a great job cutting and you get used to it. Ive also seen a few posts say its underpowered? mine has done well going through parts in my property that i dared not go through with my old mower except the driest part of the season and it did this while pulling a 400lb lawn roller. I would also like to add these new craftsman are the best looking mowers ive ever seen and are so much easier to work on and maintain then ive ever seen

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Love It

We ordered this mower on line at Sears.com. We had no way of getting such a large purchase home. They delivered it with no problems at all. It runs great, we are taking turns mowing and I must say neither one of us want to get off to give the other a turn!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
