Great mower, turns on a dime and is really fast
Just got it and finished my yard off much quicker than any other mower/tractor I have ever had. It actually goes much faster than you want to mow but pedal is like accelerator on a car so easy to control. No need for zero turn with 6" turn and reverse pedal. Very impressive!

Transmission GRINDING in Reverse
One week old with less than 8 hours and transmission makes bad grinding noise in reverse. Also, it is SO difficult to make it goes into reverse. I must use my hand to "grab the forward pedal and pull it backward while the foot is pressing on the reverse pedal"

*** DO NOT BUY***

I bought this mower new in April 2014. I have had it replaced 3 times and am on my 4th mower. The rear-end and transmission are bad. It grinds when going into reverse. SEARS refuses to address the real problem that the mower Model is defective. *** DO NOT BUY****

Only Used Once but Wow!

I've only used it once so I cannot say how it will hold up but Wow, it's a blast. Contrary to what others have said it seems quite easy to control at slow speeds but when you want to go fast, it flies. I see no down side yet. Blows away my old Husky in every respect. The turning is awesome. My teenage daughter loves it too; like driving a go cart.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

48" Turn Tight Fast Riding Mower

This mower can cut grass at speeds normally restricted for Commercial mowers. It can turn with a 6" radius allowing the mower to trim up to garden edges or to mow around elevated flower beds. The automatic transmission allows for foot control of direction and speed, giving the user easy control of the speed and direction of the mower .

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Yes it does go faster than most mowers in forward which is nice but is just a little to slow in reverse. The mower makes a horrible grinding sound while in reverse which makes me think the transmission will not last very long. They say it is covered under the 2 year warranty ??? Going forward or from reverse to forward takes a lite touch on the pedal or you will be throwing back and forth. Same problem when you let off the pedal to stop, Wham! brakes on right know. Only 7 hours on mower as of this review and do not have much faith in this Sears / Husqvarna mower for durability.

Good mower for the money

I just got this mower and mowed my 1.5 acres once with it. Right away I love the ease of starting, the blade engagement button and the deck height adjustment. My old craftsman would never go high enough and I felt like I was mowing my lawn too short. This new one has plenty of variance in the height. I also like the power and quietness of the engine. The extra rollers on the deck are an added bonus that I don't see on a lot of mowers. As for things I would change are the fuel gage (window) as I am not sure how accurate that is going to be and just imagine it getting dirty and unreadable in the future, but we will see. This tractor seems to sit higher than my old one and therefore I believe you feel the bumps in the yard more, meaning you sway back and forth a lot on uneven ground. The seat is nice but I would have made it more of a bucket seat - when you are swaying back and forth it can feel as if you are going to slip off the seat. The biggest negative to me is the height of the gas pedal. I love the car like accelorator but it is too high. I wear a size 11 and it feels like my tip toes are pushing the accelorator I imagine my wife will not enjoy this aspect. There is no doubt the power is there and being able to mow at 7.5mph is awesome (not yet convinced it can do a great job going that fast) but still nice to even have that possibility. I was wanting to get a zero turn but couldn't justify the money when I could get something like this for half the price. I believe I made the right decision.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
