5-Drawer Black/Platinum Workbench Module Lets You Store More
You have the space to work, and your next step is to keep that space open and clear by organizing your tools in the Craftsman 5 Drawer black/platinum workbench module. This solid steel module can be added to either side of your Craftsman work bench, and you can use two modules if you really need space. The leveling feet adjust quickly to compensate for uneven floors, and the drawers are in sizes varied enough to fit everything from trays of tiny fasteners to power tools.
The 5-drawer black/platinum workbench module is made of solid steel with a baked enamel coating that will stay tough for years. The drawers operated on ball-bearing slides, a mechanism that assures smooth gliding from the start.

I am very happy with the way this worked and looks. However I am not so happy that it was so much work, more than actually putting the bench together itself!! Not to mention on of the slides didn't match up right so now I have the 3rd drawer catching on the metal side everytime I open it up.

I would call and complain but don't want to spend the time on hold to get no where. I have there 8 ft bench which would be nice if this would directly go into without having to cut out for the extra side. They only put in 1 of the 2 required notches on it. Then the support for the top piece blocks the other notch. Someone goofed at craftsman.

After assembling this item I discovered the bottom drawer had a manufacturing flaw where the front left corner of the drawer bottom was bent and buckled upwards. Hopefully, a rare occurrence, but I called to get a replacement. After more then an hour on the phone I was told I could either disassemble and return the entire item (another couple of hours of work) for a refund and then reorder the item (another 2-3 week wait plus another couple of hours to reassemble) or accept the defective item and a $35 consolation refund. I chose to not be inconvenienced further and accepted the consolation refund; however, had the item not been defective I would have no complaints. Hopefully the defect does not interfere with the way the drawer operates. With that said the item was fairly easy to put together. I did the workbench frame, drawer, and backwall by myself in a few hours. If you read and follow the instructions carefully (to include the supplemental instructions) there should be no issues. You do not have to cut anything to get it to fit together (dispite what other reviewers had said). I did use my Dramel to lightly sand the butcher block top where a pan bolt head prevented the top from sitting flush with the backwall, not a big issue of you don't care but I'm a little OCD when it comes to stuff like that.

The drawers can be assembled either on either side of the work bench or underneath it (which is valuable if your space will only fit the workbench width). Althought there are many parts to assemble for each drawer, they go together a lot more easily than I first thought and everything lined up nicely.
I brought two of these for my husband to use to store all of his tools. He has plenty of room and the drawers work very nicely. The drawers are very smooth when opened and closed.
These drawers are very spacious and just what I needed. The setup was time consuming and wish it was already setup outta the box. Drawers roll out smooth
Fairly easy to assemble with simple tools. I installed it in the 6 foot bench but instructions are included for both 6 and 8 foot versions. I too would like to see a slightly heaver gauge metal for the drawers but it is adequate for light to medium duty uses. The look and quality is consistent with the intended work bench. I concur with an earlier reviewer: It makes for a very sharp looking addition to most any garage!
I needed more storage space and decided to add two of these to my 6ft workbench; I am glad I kicked out the money for these (on sale too, saved a bundle). Very easy assembly instructions even though it took my one and a half hours for the first one, didn't need instructions for the second one and took me under 45 minutes to assemble by myself. The drawers are a little flimsy but they worked perfect for what I stored in them since I kept my wrenches and other heavy items in my two ball-bearing bottom chest. The only problem to me is that I didn't purchase these earlier, I definitely recommend this item if you want to spruce up your work area.

My wife bought me the 8' bench, backboard, two 5 drawer modules, corner shelving and chair. Assembly is required and will go smooth as long as you review all instructions before you begin. I assembled all the items in about six hours with only one missing nut. Product and material quality are as expected for similar items at this price. Some reviews complained about thin metal or difficult assembly steps, but trust me, follow the instructions and use a driver or drill. Yes, the metal is a thin gage, but again, in this price range it is better than most. If you already have the 8' bench and choose to add these you DO NOT have to cut anything as some reviewers have claimed. Again, Instructions have a purpose. To add these to the 8' bench you have to remove the inside support rails (8' bench only). 6' bench does not use the inside support rails. The 5 drawer modules replace the support given by the inside support rails. The drawer modules can go on either side of the bench, or both.
