This 5-pc Flare Nut Wrench Set Metric is Essential for Automotive Work
Built for working on cars, appliances and around the house, this Craftsman 5-pc flare nut wrench set metric is indispensable. Built for working on brake, steering and refrigeration lines, it also comes in handy for mountain bike suspensions and other bicycle repairs. Headlock™ box ends spread turning force throughout the entire fastener head for a solid hold, while the over-sized wrenching surface grips multiple sides of soft metal fittings to avoid stripping them.
The 5-pc flare nut wrench set metric works on a variety of hexagonal fittings, from aluminum and copper to brass. It also features a traditional wide profile for greater leverage. These alloy steel wrenches come in a handy storage case and are, of course, backed by the Craftsman Forever Guarantee, for a lifetime of solid performance.

Bought this whole set for just some $12 higher than the one wrench I needed to finish a brake job. Value seemed worth it. Well designed wrenches, nice high polish, and very important well-designed plastic holder that will hang on my garage pegboard without dropping the wrenches. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the package said they were made in China. I don't think Craftsman should outsource their products out of the US. I don't care how much money they save.
These wrenches are no longer USA made. I purchased my set probiably close to 5 years ago and they were great. Unfortunately I broke one and had to exchange it. The replacement wrench even though it had the same part number as the old wrench was not the same wrench in terms of build quality. My original had a straight shank on it, the replacement was angled. The outer edges are lobster claws compared to the older wrenches (probiably had to beef up the outer edges due to the inferior Chinese metal used). The Chinese wrench has poor access in tight areas like import steering racks where you have to pull the lines off to pull the steering racks off. If looking for a set of flare nut wrenches I would look elsewhere before paying a craftsman price for an inferior Chinese product.

I bought these cheaper than they're listed on the website here.I think they were on sale. But I bought them to replace a much cheaper and much crappier set of flare wrenches I had. My old junky ones were not gripping and ended up rounding multiple bleeder screws (new and old) on my old jeep. I have had no such trouble with these craftsman wrenches on my jeep or any of my friends cars that I have also done brake jobs on. They fit right and grip right not to mention the just feel like a better tool. They get 5 stars from me because of that. They really are a specialty tool and they don't get tons use but when they do they work. Wish I had bought them in the first place and saved myself the headache.
I bought these to replace some tubing wrenches that people have walked out of my tool box and not returned. They are a good quality and as far as I'm concerned you should not use anything but a tubing wrench when removing a flare nut.
As other reviews have mentioned, these are now made in China. My own experience has been that the wrenches don't grip flare nuts very well and they don't fit into tight spaces due to the extra fat wrench ends. Not impressive considering you're paying a 'made in usa' price for these. You can get the same quality of wrenches elsewhere for a small fraction of the price.
Bought these to do some brake work on my car and they worked perfectly. Price was cheap but quality is excellent. Been using them now for over 2 years off and on and they still look new.
