The handle is nice and long, but unfortunately the length of the punch end is shorter than I really needed. I did not realize this until after it arrived (bought it online). The selection of sizes was great and the price was not bad, but I have a cheaper set (not Craftsman) that is more convenient. I almost returned them, but I got them on sale so I decided to keep them. They are still un-used though.

save your money for a decent set. i got suckered into buying this set by the craftsman name (now worthless with the exception of a few hand tools) and the lifetime warranty. the tools are packaged in a puddle of oil, which i assume is to prevent corrosion. watch out or youll stain your clothing or work surface. the tips on a couple of my punches also appear to be deformed because they flair out at the end. the punches are, therefore, wider than they should be and will surely damage the holes you are driving the pins out of!!! i am amazed sears would even sell something like this.

The Craftsman 5 pieces punch and alignment set has dones an extremely good job for me in my shop. I have a smalle engine repair shop and use these all of the time. I use them to alighn pulleys, engines, decks, rear baggers, tiller tines, wheels on axles, and much much more. As I said, they get a lot of use and have been in my shop for a year and still in great shape. Roll pins are a snap to. I like the color scheme and they are easy to see and grab. I wipe them down after each job and none have any rust on them. Wishe they has more sizes in this set. These are not prybars or somethng that you would beat to death with a large hammer, but when used correctly, they will last you a very long time and provide tons of work hours for you while you use them. These are pretty great and I would have no problems recommending this set to my friends and my family. Nice set of tools to have.

i purchased this punch set, and when i really needed it to work, the 1/8" punch broke. i'll be bringing it in for replacement, though i can imagine that i'll experience resistance when i demand that it be replaced under the warrantee.

The 1/16" punch has broken on me twice. The larger punches will deform at the tips.

I have this set for years....this is a great no frills set that keeps on working in spite of all the abuse that I've put them through....but then again......there Craftsman!
