Average Tool

It was an average tool, not as sturdy as I would have thought it to be, but it did the job.

Quality not up to Craftsman name regardless of price

The faceted flat section of the grip spins on my set. I can't believe that no one has mentioned this in their review. If it is suppose to spin, for instance, for an alternate holding position, then why are some of the units very hard to turn and others are easy to turn? I don't like that they spin at all, it makes it hard to apply torque comfortably. One possible explanation for the variance, and why it has yet been mentioned in a review untill now, is that the molds that made these are getting old and worn making the parts fit sloppily. Overall, this is not what I would expect from Craftsman tools. Some reviews pretty much say the (low) quality matches the price. I think that is a poor strategy for the Craftsman brand to adopt.

I like everything else about it: The large diameter of the swivel head and upper section of the grip. I like the tapered section of the grip, which is typical for all small precision screw drivers to increase speed.

Very average quality

I've broken 2 of these screwdrivers just trying to back out a screw that was a little tight.  They snapped off right at the joint between the handle and the shaft.  The plastic the screwdriver handles are made from is very soft and weak.  I finally got the screw out with one of my smaller "real" Craftsman screwdrivers.  These tools should not have the Craftsman name on them.  Save your money or buy Wiha precision screwdrivers, these are just more Chinese trash.

Useful in So Many Ways...

You're sure to find hundreds of useful things to do with this Precision Screwdriver Set. You'll always be assured of have the right type tip, the right size tip and the right length screwdriver.

You will love the handsome styling of these tools as well. Each screwdriver is color coded to make it easy to indentify a slotted, phillips, torx, etc.

If buy this set, and I hope you will, you won't be making the same costly mistake I made. I looked at the set but thought I only needed a few of the sizes. So I opted to buy them individually rather than this complete set. Well, after seeing how useful they were, I kept returning to the store to pick up more. I now have a complete 24 piece set by it cost me about twice as much as it should have.

I know, dumb!

Hopefully you'll be smarter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Craftsman 5 pc precision screwdriver set is a good choice

These are made to Craftsman's normal good standards and are attractive and quite usable. They have the swivel on top and flats around the grip so you can use them in 'precision' mode (forefinger on top, using thumb and middle finger to turn). They are less convenient in 'normal' mode (top in the palm, turned with thumb and forefinger) due to the size and flats location, but then how often does one use screwdrivers this size in that mode?

The different types (phillips, standard, torx) are different colored for easy identification and marked on the side and the end. The different sizes tend to be different sized overall, which is good from an easy identification viewpoint, but less convenient from storage and aesthetics viewpoint.

I would have preferred additional (smaller) sizes as well, but these do what I want them to, and if I really need smaller sizes, I can get them.

As with all Craftsman hand tools, they have the lifetime warranty.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

5 pc Screwdriver Set

I have been purchasing these sets for some time. I use them in my job and while they break once and a while they do carry the LifeTime Warranty. The thin long design is especially great!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cheap yes, but no too cheap

These are cheaply made tools, but still are better than the all metal handled hobby screwdrivers that come in the little plastic case with is about the only other inexpensive alternative. Yes they do break but Sears will replace the broken ones.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

fragile!! Break easy

The screwdriver shaft does not extend the length of the tool so they break VERY easily. I have exchanged broken ones at sears many many times
