I'm just an occasional DIY'er who needed a pouch to hold my tools while I'm working. This pouch is just what I needed. I needed a pouch that was somewhat compact but still big enough to hold all my stuff. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't care for pry bars, hammers, and screwdrivers sticking me in my thighs while I'm trying to climb the ladder, so I hang mine on my side. This one was just the right size for that. The main compartment is big enough for me to put in my new Craftsman heavy duty C3 drill. The pockets behind the tape measure is enough to hold a level, a couple of screwdrivers and pencil. The leather on the tape measure holder is a nice touch and is more secure than a clip, and the nail pouch will hold more than you'll probably need for your small project. The quality of this carpenter's pouch is better than the other fabric pouches they offer. It is much thicker and the polyweb reinforcement is wider on this model. The red trim is nice, too. If you don't won't to spend all the extra $$$ on the leather ones, this is your best bet. The only negative thing I've found is the loop on the side is not wide enough for a regular-sized hammer. This was no problem for me, I just use it for my nail puller. I prefer to use screws whenever I can and if I can replace a nail with a screw, I will. But, because I still need a hammer sometimes, I bought the padded hammer holder and hang it on my other side (nothing in front). Don' worry, the cost of this pouch along with the hammer hook is about the same as the cheapest pouch with a hammer hook on it. You'll have more versatility this way. Besides, you can use your "Tool of the Month" or SYWR points and get them for almost nothing ;)
