Recently accepted delivery on this yard tractor, there are some good things and bad. Tractor does a great job mowing in some difficult terrain. Love the hydrostatic transmission, previous mower was a manual shift, and this is much easier to use. Lots of power, great cutting, and ease of use. On the negative side, there were some pre-delivery assembly issues (performed by Sears): 1. Steering wheel loose. 2. Seat improperly installed. 3. Mower deck not set-up properly, Height adjustment will not go below "3" (deck sitting on ground) and maximum height ("6"), only raises blades to 21/2" above ground. 4. Entire unit was dusty upon delivery; minor, but I would expect they would at least clean it before delivery

I have owned this Lawn Tractor since Jun 2006. I purchased: Lawn Tractor 26.0 HP 54" Mower Model: 917.276903 Utility Cart 16 cu ft Overhead awning Tractor Dump Scoop Snow Blade Tractor is a workhorse. * Mow 4 acres of rocky, undulating mountain valley grass. * Haul trash, year round to dumpster 1/5 mile incline. * Move sod, rocks and tree limbs. Just replaced the mower deck for $300. Been hitting rocks one too many times. Broke the holding hinge and dented the platform holding the spindle housings. Have replaced numerous blade housings and spindles. Well worth the effort. Have thought about purchasing a pull mower though a 54 inch width is $2,500. on sale. Cheaper to replace the deck. Cart I lined the inside of the cart with painted osb board, so i would not Ding the metal with tools, rocks or trash. The tractor pulls this loaded with rocks or tree limbs up mediium grass inclines just fine. Overhead Awning weighs a ton do not buy unless they changed it from steel tubes to fiberglass rods. Tractor Dump Scoop not very practical, HEAVY. Very hard to manipulate the MANUAL working arms. Do Not Buy. Snow Blade. I have yet to install. I have a curvy, inclined 1000 ft rock road driveway. Do not know what i was thinking. Summary: A Work Horse!
