Great Tractor
I have had this like model tractor for 4 years now. I did a lot of reading and shopping before buying it. I use it to cut 3.5 acres of grass and also plow snow with it. It is a GREAT tractor. Not one problem with it at all. The only improvement i would like to see is a better seat. After 2 hours of cutter my **** gets a little sore. A spring style set would be awesome. I would recommend to anyone to buy a Craftsman

Junk
Well I have had this tractor for less than one month. It was delivered to me to replace one under warranty that the entire front axle fell out of. That one had a normal key type ignition system and not this "complete start" garbage. I managed to get it to start ONCE the day they delivered it. After trying for over a week a tech finally came today and he could not get it it start either. He said he thinks the push button control panel is bad and just ordered a new one. He said it's a $394.00 part. Well if it's bad already I see it going bad again after the warranty expires and I will be the one having to pay almost $400.00 for the part. I am going to demand that they replace this tractor with one that has a normal key type starting system. I had to wait about 5 months for a replacement the first time. It better not take that long this time!

Craftsman 54

I've had this for over a year cutting 3 acres and it has run great. Lots of hills and bumps and no problems. Cuts tall grass(3 ft.) with 2 passes. After that, smooth ride. Lots of power. It replaced a 48" Craftsman I bought used from Sears 6 yrs ago and it's So much better. Lots of features. I plan on getting a leaf catcher next.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

not worth the price

I bought the original tractor on sale in August 2013 with the 5 year in home warranty. In January the engine seized. The tech said they do that sometimes for no reason. They installed a new engine. Total down time 5 1/2 weeks. In march the new engined literally burned up. The tech said it was a design flaw in the ignition system and they made a kit to fix it. 3 weeks after the engine died Sears tells me they no longer make the kit. They try to get it from a third party but can't find one. They offer to replace the mower. But, the new mower is more expensive than what I paid so they charge me an extra $140.00. Waiting for new mower to be delivered. If it works okay then I will have owned a mower that was only operational 75% of the time. I know products break. I don't blame sears for that but the wait times to get the product fixed are ridiculous. Also charging me extra to get the same mower replacement was really over the top in bad customer service. Also, the mower doesn't do too well on hills. For having such a big engine there is not a lot of torque.

Looks Good

Purchased online, Delivered on time in a week. Great looking mower. Started right up , Havent mowed with it yet but sure looks like it will do what I want. My last Craftsman mower lased 12 years and was still going strong when I got rid of it. This thing is a lot more tractor than the little or smaller models. Its not a $12,000 ********** so don't expect that. I was able to get this thing for 2500 including tax and delivery with on line discounts and a little chatting with the sales rep on line!! Saftey switches are kind of annoying and are easily disabled if you don't have small children or neighbors that might run off with it. ( I would never do this, Just saying ) Also the complete start thing works good , just read the instructions.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
