This was a true disappointment
Purchase this online to replace my 10yr old craftsman professional box that I had out grown. This box has absolutly no features. Doesnt have the drawer latches, the wheels are cheap plastic. The metal is so thin that the center caster just push up allowijng the box to roll sideways when trying to push it.The locks are so flimsey that it took me two hrs to be able to lock it because the cheap little lock tabs were all bent up. Has large deap drawers but the metal is so thin that they start to buckle before the drawer is even close to full. This box is rated for professionsal tool storage but is cheap enough I'm sure I'll be replacing it within 6 months. For the price, I expected more. My replacement box will be a kennedy.

satisfied for the price

I am a professional mechanic 5 years. Upgraded fron 26x18 craftsman quiet glide top and bottom to this box. For 1k this box gives you the storage of a 5K snap-on. No, not the same quality as snap-on. But for me serves it's purpose well. I recommend you go to a sears and see/feel the craftsman boxes. Even if it's not the same excact model you will be able to see the quality you are getting into(or lack of quality compared to snap-on) For me I am very happy that I got a box for a 1/4 of the price of a snap-on and the box has adequate storage and quality for me. Bought the box with giftcardrescue.com cards and saved $100

You get what you pay for

I searched for a long time before settling on this product but there were no reviews so I had to go out on a limb. I couldn't justify the $3k even a used snap-on chest of this size goes for, and after all the broken ************** tools I've gone through, I didn't want to go that route either. I figured Craftsman was a name I could trust. Turns out a $1000 tool chest is still a pretty much a piece of junk. It was dented upon arrival even thought the box appears fine, but since the metal is so thin, I just hammered it back into shape and it is mostly hidden by the mat. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of returning it and the crease is only seen from the backside. The drawers just don't have that quality feel when opening and closing. I would actually put it below my friend's HF chest. But in the end it holds my tools and it looks pretty decent, so you get what you pay for, just don't expect the quality of a $5k chest for $1k.

Not a professional grade tool box

I bought this tool box almost a year ago. I have a decent amount of tools and thought this box was a decent affordable box to use. When i first got the box the wheels barely rolled on a clean concret floor. they are made of cheap plastic and are not good for moving around a large shop. Then just recently the slides on 3 of the bottom drawers started getting very tight and hard to open or close and I lube them regularly. I didn't even have that much weight in them. I was thinking about buying a top box for it but well see how it goes when I call about the warranty. Overall it is a nice box for the price besides the above problems

A good product for the beginner mechanic or home owner

A good product for the beginner mechanic that can't afford a quality product. I owned these units in the sixties when Sears sold a quality cabinet but since then the quality in the metal used on  the cabinets is not  the same as it was. Be carefull how much weight you put in the large drawers.
