I bought this drill with the intent on using it to get inside kitchen cabinets to undo the countertops becasue we were having them replaced. I wanted something lightweight, easy to use with enough tourque to get the screws out. With that said, some of my requirements were met. The good: The drill had the 90 degree angle to get into the tight spots with ease. It was light weight. Also had plenty of torque. Came with a nice case and fast charging battery. The not so good: The forward/reverse is way too close to the trigger. It is way too easy to switch forward and reverse to the point of frustration. The second thing is the light while nice to have is next to useless. The only way to activate the light is to activate the drill. If you have to go into a dark area, whats the point? You are just wasting battery power, while the drill is running to find the screw. Then stopping the drill and hoping to make the catch on the head. The light should have a separate on/off to light the area in which you are working. Finally, it's just one speed. Full ahead. So you will have to literally baby it to do the work you want it to do.
So while powerful, light weight at the perfect angle, it has it's flaws.

pretty cool, works, the low end speed is a little difficult to control, great for zipping off bolts and assembling engines, use it instead of an air rachet most of the time.

Compact size lets it get in tight spots. My driver has held up well, plenty of power for light automotive use. Quick charging. A must have if you own any of the other Nextec powered tools.

First of all, I have to say, from a design standpoint, this tool is awesome. It really is an impressive design, and I have to give credit where it's due. The fit and finish seems really nice, and I like that it's built with Phillips head screws for easy repair. The ergonomics are great for any task, and the 1/4 inch quick connect chuck is done very well, and even long bits have very little wobble, when compared to other tools with 1/4 inch quick connect. I am however, very disappointed with the variable speed trigger. It has three steps: slow, full, and off. That's it. They're really no true variable trigger. The motor is also very unpleasant sounding. While it doesn't sound broke, the sound is hardly appealing. And, so there is no confusion, this tool does not come with the cool quick boost charger, just the good old plain charger and 1 battery. Overall, I'd have to say, it's worth buying when it's on sale. At full price? Not so much.

Works as supposed to.

I haven't had the chance to use it as an impact nut driver yet, but with a chuck adapter it is a wonderful close-quarters drill. It has the power to drive even large bits easily into hardwood. The only problem I have had is that the slowest speed with the variable speed trigger is too fast to start small flat or Philips screws.
