6 ft. work bench
I have 2 of these. They are awsome. Top is soft as I am a Harley Tech, but overall I am happy. They are kinda hard to get ahold of cause the store does not keep em in stock. I had to 5 weeks for it to get here.

Save your money
Just bought one of these in black and should have asked a few more questions. I looked at a couple workbenches at the store, one with a metal top and this one. The salesperson said this was a good quality work surface, so I took the plunge. Imagine my surprise when I drilled the mounting holes and saw paper stuck in the drill bit grooves. I was expecting some type of particle board, which is bad enough for a work surface but this is worse yet. They call it MDF, which stands for Medium Density Fiberboard. What kind of junk is this? That's the stuff your kids table tops and toys are made of. Sears just lost a very long time customer.

Worst Craftsman Product Ever!

There was a time when the name Craftsman stood for quality. You knew with that name, the product you were about to buy was going to be well made and last almost forever. Well not anymore, Sears has really failed with this product. This workbench is made out of very thin sheet metal and mine came completely dented and banged up right out of the box (surprise!) The directions for this thing were HORIBLE! I had to take it apart and reassemble it multiple times as I put together different components (bench, drawer set, peg board, wood top) Once I had the bench fully together I was able to grasp the full failure of this product as a whole. It is not solid which is exactly what you want with a workbench. It wobbles and wiggles around and doesn?t give you a solid workbench to work from. The light that comes with it has no bulbs and no light switch, you have to plug it in to turn it on and unplug it to turn it off (come on guys, really!?) For half the price of this Craftsman bench I was able to go to another big box store and pick up a ROCK SOLID bench. The new bench I got had wonderful directions written clearly and were easy to follow. The new bench I got was fully assembled in 3 hours where the Craftsman bench took closer to 14 hours. The new bench is ROCK SOLID where the Sears bench is wobbly. Save your money and your sanity ? run as far from this horrible product as you can ? it is the worst I have ever seen from Sears. You guys in management at Sears need to listen to your customers! Stop making cheap ****! People can and will pay for good quality products. You are KILLING your reputation!

Bench was easy to put together, it is a sturdy bench. Top is a laminate pressed wood. I will probably cover it with a chunk of rubber. Should of been priced lower. Added cabinet to go underneath and really gave the bench some weight.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great product!

Went together smooth as silk; not sure if I was lucky, or the other reviewers were unlucky with part fitment. No adjustments needed whatsoever. Very solid workbench for the garage and a nice height for both sitting and standing work. I'm withholding the 5th star because there seem to be no Craftsman backboards that fit. There's a 5' and an 8', but no 6'? Really?

I would recommend this product to a friend.
