6 ft. work bench
I have 2 of these. They are awsome. Top is soft as I am a Harley Tech, but overall I am happy. They are kinda hard to get ahold of cause the store does not keep em in stock. I had to 5 weeks for it to get here.

Save your money
Just bought one of these in black and should have asked a few more questions. I looked at a couple workbenches at the store, one with a metal top and this one. The salesperson said this was a good quality work surface, so I took the plunge. Imagine my surprise when I drilled the mounting holes and saw paper stuck in the drill bit grooves. I was expecting some type of particle board, which is bad enough for a work surface but this is worse yet. They call it MDF, which stands for Medium Density Fiberboard. What kind of junk is this? That's the stuff your kids table tops and toys are made of. Sears just lost a very long time customer.

Nice workbench

Though made of relatively thin sheet metal, the way that it's pressed out makes the bench pretty stable. Additionally, the adjustable feet allow you to find a pretty good balance to keep it level and stable. Overall, for the price, this is a nice workbench

I would recommend this product to a friend.

craftsman workbench

This was part of some cabinets that I purchased for my garage. I really like this unit. It has really helped me keep my garage organized and gives me a pretty good sized area to work on some things. This was a good purchase at a reasonable price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Durable Solution

This is a nice metal workbench with multiple storage solutions available. Since purchasing this item, I've added two 5 drawer modules and two door units to lock the drawers and provide dust protection since it is located in an area near where I store my mowers. The instructions are poorly written, but most of the assembly is fairly intuitive anyway. Without the additional modules, it seems a little more flimsy. But with the modules, it is very durable. The height is great for working on items. Love it!

Nice Solid Good Looking Workbench

Picked this up on sale, overall seems very solid. I few of the pieces were slightly bent in shipping. Take your time putting together, took me about 45 minutes. An extra hand helps out with some of the assembly

I would recommend this product to a friend.

It's a nice bench...

Had this for awhile now and after reading some of the other reviews, I'm honestly surprised there are bad ones! I have the laminate top and yes there is some bubbling, but it's a work bench - not a formal dining room table. So a little bubbling on a work bench...no problem. I'll probably upgrade to the stainless steel top or maybe I'll just make my own butcher block top sometime in the future, but for now it's just fine. Everyone that's been invited over and stood around in the garage and drank beers has commented "it must be nice" so I'm more than happy!!! I have some matching shelves with it and I must admit...my garage looks well organized and sharp!!! Sears needs to add an "absolutely" choice to the recommend section of this.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

A great, sturdy workbench with plenty of room to spread out.

the workbench and the drawer module are both very easy to assemble, and are very solid once completed. At 6 feet long, there is plenty of room to spread out when working. It is definitely a great choice for a garage workshop.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Terrible assembly directions

I am very good at assemble-yourself projects. I have successfully assembled furniture, storage and cabinets from many manufacturers. Assembling this workbench was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had. The instructions are poorly-written. There is no attempt to incorporate into the instructions other products -- such as the back wall or under-cabinet-- so you end up having to take things apart after you've you've completed stages. The Craftsman bolts easily snap in two or strip out. I will never purchase another Craftsman item. If they can't even write intelligible instructions, how can I trust them to make a quality tool?
