Craftsman  6 Bushel 2-Bin Soft Bagger for Lawn Tractors

I use this about every other cut, holds a lot of grass. The bins don't fill evenly the tube is over one bin more than the other so when you open the top sometimes grass spills out even thought the second bin is not 2/3 full.

I conduct a ton of research prior to making purchases. Sometimes, this research involves reading customer reviews, both good and bad. However, I have never contributed a review myself. So, I felt compelled to "pay it forward" with this entry. I ordered the 6 bushel 2-bin soft bagger as part of a bundle package offered by Sears. I was very pleasantly surprised to find, upon delivery, that the bagger system came installed along with the other bundled items (bumper and mulching blades). This allowed me to get straight to business on a lawn that was, no exaggeration, 3 feet tall. I first mowed it down with the side discharge. Then, I mowed again with the bagging system. Yes, it clogged a couple of times. However, the grass clippings were huge and damp. Once I had the clippings down to a reasonable amount and the grass was dryer, it worked like dream. I would disregard the negative complaints on this product and rest assured this is a good system for bagging on a tractor.

The rear strap that secures the chute to the deck is too short. There is a revision that has the strap length increased by 1 1/2 inch. You can not connect without the new part. Have your ordering info and beready to be on the phone for an hour.

so far all that i have done is install the bagger on the tractor and it fits like it is supposed to

I put 7.5 hours on this the first time i used it, works great in my two small yards , and turned my pecan orchard into a clean cut field! THE GOOD > - easy to assemble out of the box and install/remove from the unit - holds a ton - makes picking up leaves quick work even when wet - dumps easy THE BAD > - pending your yard type it can be dusty when moving slowly!!! all in all works like a CHAMP !

I have tried to make sure that these bins are emptied and dry out before they are stored so they do not rot. So far - so good. No problems and they are nice and light to carry. Only problem is that the chute clogs really easily if the grass is moist or over 2 inches tall. I have to disconnect it every 2 minutes which makes the mowing take forever. Sometimes I cannot always choose a day when the grass is bone dry even though I try. Also I wish there was a way to know the chute was blocked without having to continuously watch the little wheel on the side. When it stops, it is blocked or full. For the money it compares well with the competition.

Works great, never had a problem. The connection to the grass shoot does not fit well.

So far this product has worked excellently. No breakdowns and is very sturdy and well made. I am glad I purchased. Very easy set up.

As with most baggers, after full, you do have to remove the chute and unclog. Left bag fills first, and then the right. Overall it works well and is easy to dump. In retrospect I should have purchased the 3 bag model for 42" decks.

My original intent was to mulch as much as possible so I got a pull behind sweeper for the fall leaves in lue of a bagger. My mower does a decent job at mulching and the Craftsman sweeper does a fine job sweeping... but the mower with the bagger does an impeccable job when the grass is caught rather than mulched. The unit is easy to put on. The bags are sized so they are not too heavy when full. Surprisingly, it didn't take up that much more room in the garage when left mounted.
