Very, very happy
I didn't put 5 stars just because not being a vacuum bagging system it still takes a bit of work and understanding in order to have it working right but frankly this thing is great. I bought a brand new tractor at the sears outlets the DYS 4500 24HP from last year for just $1199, after using half day with satisfaction I realized that a bagging system was indispensable. I assembled it in 5 minutes and I found out that in order to have the maximum functionality you need to keep the blades system high. This way more air will flow-in and this will have greatly in order to avoid congestion in the tube. Yes the left bag fill first but once it is fool the second bag fills so don't need to worry about that. If the air flow is good the tubes will not get grass stuck in it. Mine attached PERFECTLY to my tractor, it is really tight. People complaining about this either have an older tractor or didn't do the right installation. When I was keeping the blades mid level I had to disassemble the tubes frequently but no no more. Grass is still short, actually looks better, I was cutting too short. In my opinion you have to have this. Your tractor will not be complete without this. I was able to pick up fresh grass as well as the grass that has been under the sun from yesterday cut. I forgot. I do have 5 acres and I cut about two with my tractor. Naturally 2 bags can be filled relatively quick but it is nothing compared to the work we had to do before.

Very Disappointed
51 yr old, 5 ft petite woman... It was suprising very easy to install. Easy stopped there! Twnety feet of mowing and I was covered with dust and grass. At first, thought I didn't have it installed correctly. Discovered debris was blowing through mesh bags. Putting trash bags inside mesh bags solved the debris problem. 3 minutes of mowing and the orange "bag full" indicator stopped spinning. Opened the lid and the left bag was full but the right bag barely had anything in it. Emptied the bags and started up again. Oops ... the chute was clogged up. Had a pile of grass clippings by the time I mannually cleaned out the chute. Another 3 minutes, another full left bag and clogged chute. After 20 minutes and dumping 4 times, called it quits (exhauting work in 100 degree temps) Will try making some adjustments next time to get clippings to fill both bags. If I can't get it to fill both bags before clogging, will pack it up and get my money back.

Good bagger

The bagger and holder seem to be extremely durable but the chute itself was a little disappointing. After only using the bagger 3X the rear strap that holds the chute to the mower deck Broke off. I'am gonna call sears and see if they will replace it. They should probably make the areas where the chute has the straps metal so they won't break like the plastic did.

Better than expected

After reading a number of reviews that were rather lukewarm regarding the bagger system, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it actually works. It is easy to empty and to replace the softside bags. The handle on the bottom of the bag is very handy for emptying. The bags fill fairly evenly, but it is a little difficult to know when you are full. There is a little red rotating gizmo that is supposed.to show you when you're full. It works only so so. All in all, I am happy with bagger system. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Absolutely Awful Design

Absolutely awful. I've never seen a Craftsman product designed so badly. Grass blows out the edges of the lid and goes everywhere. You will be absolutely COVERED in grass and dirt. It gets worse. The lid is flimsy and has no secure way of fastening. It constantly pops open while mowing (even on a smooth suburban yard) and then there's even more debris going everywhere. I have to reach back and push it back down constantly. I used a push mower for years and got less dirty than on a new riding lawnmower using this bagger!

Craftsman 6 Bushel 2-Bin

Worked great the first time I used it. The chute clogged up the next, not sure if that's because I wasn't running at full throttle

It only fill half way or less and the fill tube blocks.

This is more hassle than it is worth. It requires constant attention to keep it functioning. I give up.

Works good - Needs to be larger

It does a great job, and was easy to install. But you will find yourself emptying it a lot. TIP - Remove a full bag. Place on ground. cover it with a 50 gal. lawn bag. Flip over using handle on BOTTOM of bag. Voila - leaves are in trash bag for disposal or whatever.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
