Product Description
Clean Up the Lawn with the Craftsman 2 Bin Soft Bagger
The Craftsman 6 bushel 2 bin soft bagger fits lawn tractors with a 46 inch deck to quickly and efficiently collect grass clippings and leaves. Plus, unlike a typical bag system, you won't need to deal with individual bags – simply fill the bins up with clippings, lift, dump and refill. This bagger completely eliminates the need for manual raking. If clippings aren't collected directly after mowing, they can build up over time, compress and prevent grass roots from receiving the right amounts of water, oxygen and nutrients.
The easy-to-empty Craftsman 2 Bin Soft Bagger collects up to a massive 6 bushels of clippings at once for less frequent dumping. The top of the bag is designed for improved airflow, which results in fuller bags and less stops. Easy-glide design with built-in handles provides no-hassle clipping disposal.

I have always towed a sweeper. Knowing this rider would not last one year towing a sweeper I purchased the rear bagger. LOVED it. So much easier than the sweeper. Don't think I will every go back. Picks up leaves, twigs, fir cones, and even wet grass.

Fairly good bagging unit but a little small when tackling first lawn cut of the spring. I was able to assemble and attach to my lawn tractor rather quick, about 30 - 45 minutes and it was ready to go. I read some reviews about blowing clippings on your back, but I had no issue with that. It fit snug and collected all the clippings with little waste blowing out anywhere from the bagger. The little spinning indicator that is supposed to tell you if the bags are full or still have room is useless, it does not work, just vibrates. Cheap plastic technology(?). The bags are a little small and fill quickly especially on our large lot, but I would rather empty them a few extra times than pay the additional for another bag.

Bags have lasted well, but constantly breaking rubber tie ons ( and Sears rarely has them in stock at local store ) difficult to keep gasket on lid/tube from blowing grass on you (had to super glue it in place)

After owning/mowing/raking my yards for 15 years I finally purchased this bagger. I'm completely ecstatic with the bagger and it's results. Yes you have to empty the bins more frequently when bagging leaves, beats raking. Yes it's very dusty if you have any open areas with visible earth showing, a shower is less cumbersome than raking for a full day. The gasket will want to pull off the top of the bagger when you first install it until the chute gets some dust on it, then it will slide freely, just line up the line on the gasket w/ the line on the top (6 o'clock position). It is pricey, but it works very well considering the alternatives. Only thing I could see doing differently is moving the full pinwheel indicator down the chute so it's visible from peripheral vision and possibly relocating/aiming the vent to the back side of the bagger to blow away from you when mowing. Mowing has gotten even better with this addition!!

This bagger is easy to put together and install on the mower. I have previous experience with a hard bin bagger and I prefer the soft bin now because the mesh constrution allows air to escape allowing the grass and leaves to compact so the bin acutally holds more than the hard bin. I would have given it a 5 but the bushing where the chute goes into the top of the bin is poorly engineered. It came out every time I opened the top to empty the bins. I sprayed it with silicon and this helped but I eventually used 8X1/2 inch screws and nuts to fasten it to the bin top.

Just amazing....since I've attached this bagger to my mower it now takes me a good solid hour to do the smallest section of my yard. Imagine...it used to take 20 minutes! I only had to stop, shut off the mower, disconnect the lower shute and reach inside to clean the clogged grass out EIGHT times! And to beat that...the bags are only about half full! Like I said..INCREDIBLE!!! I got it attached just fine..all the required nuts and bolts were there and everything went together fairly well...altho it'd sure be a lot easier if all the bolts, washers and locking nuts were the same size. sheesh. It's still better than raking.....but I shudder to think what it's going to take to get the leaves up in another month or so.

When I purchased a new Craftsman Turn Tight tractor, I purchased this as well. The tractor was delivered with the bagger attached, so I cannot comment on the ease to which it can be installed. The bags are very light weight, so don't add to the weight you have to carry to empty. The bottom of the bags have canvas straps sewn in, so emptying is a breeze. The only "issue" is that the bag full indicator is a little flywheel that spins with the velocity of the grass/air moving through the tube. Even with the bags empty, it really doesn't move that much, so you will have to figure out on your own if the bags are full.

Since I did not own any bagger, this one has made my job of mowing the lawn much easier. I do not regret my purchase. However, the rubber seal between the plastic tube and the plastic bin never stays in place. I like the size of the small individual bags. They are easy to empty.

Works great...If grass is wet forget it everything clogs up. However this is not the fault of the equipment.
