Had to order it 3 times to get a good one..Bad workmanship !! That was in two of the ones I order. So if you order this one keep in mind to have the box open at pick-up! Plus you have to go back up to the tool deparment to cancal the order!!!!!!!!! And then reorder that really sucks!

Do not buy, griplatch is a joke. Just pulling drawer out you can feel the cheapness. Comparing big chest to side chest quality is night and day. Using screws to attach hanger is bad idea. I am going to return, what a big hassel. Made in china, Very Dissappointed Sears. Also seeing alot of hand tools being made there now too.

I was very excited when I picked up my new tool chest from my local sears store. This chest was to be a mate to my three piece black GRIPLATCH tool chest and cabinets I purchased from Sears about 6 years ago. Strike 1: I hadn't even opened the box when I notice the oh so common "made in China" stencil on the box. Even the mighty Craftsman tool line has succumbed to the greed of corporate America. Strike 2: The large bottom drawer wasn't sitting inside the cabinet correctly. In addition every slider, for every drawer, was knocked off their mounting support. I spent nearly an hour getting it back together the way it should have arrived to begin with. Strike 3: It is so obvious the difference in quality between this new chest and my old tool boxes. The new chest is meant to look like identical to the old line, but appearance is where the similarities stop. The drawers are much more flimsy that the drawers in the older tool boxes. The sliders appear to be missing a small screw that could be used to lock each slider into position so they do not fall out, like they did during shipping to the store. The overall finish isn't what I expected either. I am a staunch BUY AMERICAN consumer. I wished Sears would have said this chest was an import on their website. Had they done so, I would have shopped elsewhere. I believe the old cabinets were made in Canada. Buyer beware! I would run the other direction before you consider this purchase.

The box works great and adds some more storage space. The only issues I have with the box are the way it mounts to the main toolbox: a bracket is mounted on this box with sheet metal screws and hangs on the main box, no bolts to secure it so it can slide a bit if bumped hard enough and no additional wheel for support of the add-on box so the added load is placed on the main box. I probably would not have missed this had it not been for my smaller Husky box/side box that were replaced where th side box did mount securely with bolts/nuts and had a wheel for support in addition to the hanging bracket. I may re-engineer the mounting solution to be more robust than it currently is, which should not be required given the price point this box is at.

I had used all the drawers on my main unit so I bought this as an accessory. It has two main benefits by both increasing space but the side worktop has proved to be very useful as well. Takes up a little more space in the garage but I prefer this option to adding extra drawers as the top lid can become difficult to access.

I really like this tool cabinet. The drawers slide well & it has a good weight capacity at 50 lbs. per drawer. It is a quick & easy way to add storage capacity to your tool box.

This box has come in very handy at work and added some much needed extra space as I had run out. I did however build a fram for the bottom so that the side box didn't just hang off the main box which is the 40" griplatch. Also another benifit is the extra work space on top so it is like having a complete mobile workstation. All I have to do now is get the lock set so my locks will match. It would be nice if they would add an extra lock that matches so you could change out the one on the box it goes on.

Love the ball bearing slides and the locking drawer handles. Only proble with unit is that when you buy a complete set of Cabinets. All the lock should match.

I have the 40 in chest and cart, with one of these. The added storage helped a bunch. Now i'm adding another to add even more. Except for the high price, it is a very good unit.. I've had my boxes for over 5 years and still get complements all the time.
