Craftsman Puts the "C" in Coping

The Craftsman coping saw is one of the finest saws that I've used on a regular basis. Its handle is sleek and sturdy, providing excellent handling and control. Not only is it a simple helpful saw, but it is easy to exchange the blade if need be replaced.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 6 in. coping saw is perfect for specific cuts in wood

Coping saws were always around in wood shop when I was a kid.  They are good for making curved cuts.  The craftsman 6" coping saw is of the finest quality.  I especially like the wooden handle (not plastic).  I was amazed by how sharp the blade is.  I used it to cut several shims down to size using a vice.  Finally, I cut some shims that I had glued to the feet of a headboard, before reinstalling it.  What protruded and looked really sloppy now looks very neat.  I cut the shims down to size very easily.  I have now a great addition to my tool collection.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Coping saw is another tool needed for unique circumstances

In my younger days I worked for years as a trim carpenter in custom homes and this period was my first introduction to the need for a coping saw.

The coping saw was made to make cuts in delicate materials such as door trim, baseboard, or other soft woods. Coping saws were also designed to make curved cuts rather than stright lines as well as backcut under the material. Many carpenters used a "coped" edge to join two pieces at a 90 degree corner. Learning this consists of cutting through your baseboard with a 45 degree cut. You then grab your coping saw and cut the baseboard by following the inward line of that 45 degree cut while angling the coping saw to cut further under the baseboard in a 3 degree angle. Whether joining baseboard, door trim, chair rails and more this process using the coping saw perfectly mates materials especially when they have intricate molded designs.

The Craftsman 6 inch coping saw is well made for the tasks it was designed to do. The handle has a good feel, the backbone is strong and the blade is sharp and does not wander during use. Replacement blades are not expensive and last a very long time before replacement is needed. Add  the Cratsman name for durability and you create a winner !

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice Coping Saw

This is actually a very nice coping saw even compared to more expension alternatives at other stores.  I've had great success with my coping saw on numerous occasions and that has been very pleasing to me.  The fact that it's a Craftsman product is just an added bonus to me.

The saw can change directions with very little difficulty which I appreciate when I'm trying to make cuts with irregular shapes and angles.

I highly recommend this coping saw be added to the toolbox of any weekend warrior.  This saw is very nice to work with on projects.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works like a charm!

I needed a saw to make some basic cuts around the yard. It was cheap, light weight, and works amazingly well for my needs. The fact that has a craftsman warranty makes it even better! I definitely would look forward to using this or another Craftsman tool in the future.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
