The ever-versatile Craftsman polisher with rear twist handle with a 4.5 amp motor is perfect for most sanding or polishing tasks in any shop. The trigger switch controls the two speeds and can be locked on for extended use. The tool's rear handle rotates 90 degrees left or right, and the side handle can be mounted on top, or on the right or left side to help you tackle a job from any angle. It includes everything you need for most projects: rubber backing pad, wrench, polishing bonnet, spanner nut, auxiliary handle assembly and manual.
The 6-inch sander/polisher with 4.5 amp motor is ready to work as hard as you are! The tool features a spindle lock to make it easy to remove or install the rubber pad or spanner nut, and a live tool indicator glows green to give you an easy-to-check safety feature. This product would be great if only it had an adjustable rpm dial. Other than this, it seems well-built, and quality is expected.

This is a total waste. The bonnet that comes with it is garbage and they dont make the applicator pad or other pads that attach directly to it. This is the biggest waste of money. If you are going to use it for a sander then it should be fine. But if you are going to need it to polish cars dont waste your money. I now have to go buy another one. The threads on the bolt are too small to work with anyone elses pads. Total waste of my money.

it does not make any sense to put a 1/2 inch stud which there is no backing plate that fits it period. ive looked all over the internet and everything is 5/8 inch. so dumb on craftsman part to do that. i understand why they did it, but get real the buffing bonnets are terrible.at least make a backing plate that fits it! im returning it tom.

This Polisher / Sander was easy to use and useing the slow speed and compound it removed the oxidization from our boat and brought it back from pink to deep red and did so without the burning thru that usually happens when a novice trys to accomplish this,it may take two to three applications but result was very proffessional ( so I was told but one) and now feel confident to use it on my black car to remove the swirls. The job it did on the boat saved me 450.00 by doing it myself. Great product..

Very poor! Did a 3 ft. section and the pad flew off. I bought replacement pads but they tear quickly then you get black rubber marks on your car or boat. Also the the 2 speed trigger is a joke, it works then it doesn't. I don't know what chineese sweat shop this was made in but it is a discrace. I am sorry to see the craftsman name have such a poor product.
