I was working on a project at the house and I somehow misplaced my cove bit so I headed over to Sears to see what they had available. I got to the router bits and saw the single packaged units and selected the one I wanted. I went to the cashier and saw this set sitting on display. I looked them over and thought that if I spent the same money on a single bit that I'd probably get home and find it and not need two.
With that thought I rolled the dice and grabbed this set instead since I was getting six fairly common bits and since I never seem to put things back where they belong, why not have these as spares?
Sure enough, I got home and there was the bit I needed! Since I had these I figured I'd give them a try and I was surprised at how cleanly they cut with no chatter or burning. Yes, new bits should cut like that but I plan to come back and update this later!

Use these several times and they are still cutting like new. This was to be expected.

Great set of bits. It has just the ones I currently need and have done a " top notch " job. If I had the $$s I would have bought a larger. Living on disability as a U.S. Veteran I gotta pinch the pennies. Craftsman lets me do that through the quality of their products and the outstanding Warranty you so seldom see these days !!

This is an economical basic shapes set of the commonly used bits. By going slow the bits are durable and do not chip out the edges of the material you are routing. The storage box keeps them handy and protects them from getting damaged. A Good Buy

Purchase router bit set on sale worth the price and of good quality. It was time to replace the old ones.

You can do a limited variety of work with these Craftsman bits. The ones with bearings follow the side of the board and the others require a guide. The beading bit can be used on things like the outside perimeter of a tabletop, and the dovetail bit can be used to make drawers if you have a jig.

I like this set for the router bits that it has which works as a great starter kit for someone interested in taking the first steps into using routers in their woodworking projects. I personally gave one of these to a friend of mine who was getting a router for his birthday. This was the perfect small gift which a couple of us split but it allowed us to give him something that he'd use while learning the ins and outs of routing and adding those techniques to his woodworking projects. This is a great gift to pass on to someone or to give to yourself as you dive into learning how to use a router.

Keep in mind you need to make sure these specific sizes meet your tastes and requirements of the job. Otherwise, you'll have to buy more. The case shows small examples of the shapes each bit will cut.

I got mixed results from this set. Good ones are more than expected, bad ones are worse than other cheap brand. I used them with a palm router.
