The Craftsman 6-piece tire maintenance kit is a great tool for do-it-yourselfers who need to rotate their tires or cyclists who want to keep an eye on their tire pressure. It comes with a variety of accessories-impact wrench, tire hose and blower nozzle-to use with your compressor, letting you get the work done so you can get back on the road. There was no where on the site or in the store by looking at the packaging that it would need an air compressor that will cost you over $100... and thats on top of the $40 sale rpice of the tool... just to inflate tires and take the nuts off!? outrageous!!! I gave this as a christmas present and had to take it back and return it, let's just said it ruined one person's christmas and I am not happy.

As others have stated not a strong gun, but will get the job done for DIYers. Took care of our sedan and SUV no problem, with a 2 gallon DeWalt compressor. This could use one more male quick connector, one for each tool. (guess it is like hot dogs and buns, one is always a little short) For those that may be confused these are air tools that do require an air compressor, seriously you let that ruin your Christmas?

Although rated pretty high, it had trouble getting the lug nuts off, torqued at 80 ft-lb. It took a while to finally get them off. I could have done better with a manual bteaker. Anyway, I tried another from a friend and no problem. All with the same compressor.

I bought this to replace a HF impact wrench that wasn't up to the task of loosening the lugnuts on my truck. This impact wrench did no better as it only loosened 1 lugnut. After standing on the lugwrench to get the tires off to complete the brake job, I still needed to use the lug wrench to tighten the lugnuts on. I was hoping to avoid that by purchasing the wrench to begin with. Thankfully Sears was still open on a Sun after dinner and took the wrench/kit back with no questions asked. I did pony up the difference for the IR brand wrench....will report on that later.

This kit is very sturdy, compared to some of the extremely cheaply made air-tool starter kits out there. I needed this for the occasional tire rotation, nothing heavy duty. The impact wrench has plenty of power and is sturdy enough for my purposes. I was pleased that the kit came with everything needed to match up with my air system. I didn't have to dig into my air hose supplies to get this going . Everything was in the box (except for sealing tape, which I already had). The things that could be better? Well, the air gauge is off by at least 4 pounds at 30psi. Not a huge deal for me, but seems like it could be more accurate. The finish on the air wrench makes me *think* (I've not experienced this yet) that it will be tough to keep clean/looking nice over time. But - hey, this is a tool -- right? So maybe it should look at least a little 'put to work'. Overall, I would buy this again

I rated it 4 stars since I have not had a chance to use this kit yet (I need to get a compressor). The components look good and the quality appears very acceptable. I don't plan to use it professionally and believe it was a great choice for me. I am just starting to acquire pneumatic tools. I am very pleased so far!
