I Use This Wheel To Replace the Bevel on My Hatchet...

Lately I have been restoring some antique tools that I had collected years ago and forgot about. I rediscovered them one day while cleaning the attic of my shop out. It was like Christmas morning all over again finding a forgot box (actually two) of vintage tools.

I set out to bring these tools back to the original glory. I know that tool collectors advise against cleaning old tools - but hey there mine and I want them as display pieces for my woodworking shop.

Recently I have restored an 1890 Hatchet manufactured by Germantown Tool Works (GTW). After removing all the rust and polishing the blade until it hade a mirror finish, I needed to replace the bevel on the blade before sharpening. This 60 grit wheel is perfect for that activity. Take a look at the work I did!
