6.75 Torque Rating 22-Inch High Wheel Trimmer Gets The Toughest Jobs Done Fast
Go where no lawnmower or hand trimmer has gone before with the Craftsman 6.75 torque rating 22-inch high wheel trimmer. This high torque trimmer has 12-inch wheels that can roll over hilly and tough-to-reach places to let you trim the most difficult terrain with ease. Impressive four-cycle engine with a 6.75 torque rating gives you superior cutting power, while its wide cut provides the speed you need to get the job done fast.
The 6.75 torque rating 22-inch high wheel trimmer is quick to assemble and easy to adjust. You can change the replacement line in seconds and adjust the cut without using any tools. This trimmer is also designed to protect itself from damage. Because the guide ball is free-floating, it does not turn when it hits the ground to protect the contact surface from wear. Traditional pull-rope starter gives it a quick start, and its dual-exit construction makes sure you get the best results.

I've purchased three of these Craftsman trimmers through the past couple decades for our large property lot. Each had done their job as expected and put in many hard hours before being replaced. It does great for trimming along fencelines and walls where regular mowers cannot get close enough, then just mow the remaining part with a regular mower, or finish it all with the trimmer's adjustable height for the cut. It will chop through extra tall field grass easily and does good on patches of thick sticker-vines, but you have to take a bit at a time or it can clog and you have to clean out the wrapped up trimmings from around the shaft on occasion. The trimmer shaft bearings can tend to wear out sooner than I'd expect, but are easy to replace. The later versions are not as easy to push over rough ground as the previous ones due to the smaller diameter wheels....bad idea there over taller wheels on the previous versions. Adjustable handle height makes it easy for anyone to use. Starts easy and runs great, even after sitting all winter. Engine does not want to shut off completely with cable lever, and I have to push lever on engine slightly to fully shut it off. The plastic trimmer line is fairly inexpensive but wears out somewhat sooner than I'd like, yet still lasts through most of the day's work on large property. The center skid-cup on the spinning trimmer tends to break easily. The trimmer can still be used without it but then the shaft bolt will gouge into the dirt as you roll along, if you let it. The wheel axle has just broke on our 3rd trimmer, but the part is not too expensive to consider repairing it for several more years of use. Taller wheels and fewer plastic parts would give this product 5-stars.

Brand new - will not turn off. You must walk around and press on the throttle control. Ball in front digs into the ground making it very difficult to push. Rolls real nice on the showroom floor. Lol. Really needed larger wheels.

Sorry to those who bought this after my Aug. 5th Five Star Review. The model I bought 6 years ago worked great (except the throttle wouldnt shut off, but I had a work around). This one is a Cheap Imitation. Over the last 6 years, the mfgr. (Swisher?) has cheapened the design considerably. The result - I've had Christmas toys that lasted longer! Very disappointed. I've had this 2nd unit for less than one month and less than 2 hours usage and I have to return it. The 0.155 string that came with the mower would not stay attached and it ate up the plastic string guard (a safety and quality issue). I am referring to the black plastic guard which you can see on the left hand side of the frontal view picture, about 6 inches back from the front of the mower. My guard got heavily damaged by the string on the 2nd use, when the string slipped out, which it does all the time. Also, the new style gas cap was damaged out of the box, partially broken where the inner tangs are and the cap would not stay attached. Sears offered to replace the cap, but when the grass shield fell apart, I knew this was not the same mower I had purchased before.... After all, should the mower's own factory string eat up the plastic shield on the 2nd usage? NO! The shield should be made of a thick enough plastic or reinforced material, as before, so that it lasts more than 2 hours of usage. Also, the new throttle sticks at the shift lever, or the cable is a piece of junk. Getting the mower to shut off was very difficult. I was certain the cable was going to break or fail quickly. For the $425 I paid for it, it should last longer than this. Luckily I discovered this while still within the first 30 days. Sadly, I am a big fan of this style of mower, so I'll have to find one like it somewhere else.
bought this to clear tall grass and weeds. It is an animal. Only complaint is the plastic cover came off and I had to replace screws with ones with nylon lock washers. They went cheap on attaching the guards.
