This tool does what it is supposed to per the advertisement, fair price, quick shipment. The biggest downfall I have found is that it is not manufactured here in the USA, yes I am one of those guys that still looks for the logo "MADE IN THE USA" on every package I purchase. The shame is that it is harder to find these days even from a company that was a staple of this.

This one is awesome. I engraved over 400 pcs of tools with 4 digit number and initials (mostly on metal) and the tip is as sharp as new.

Good light-weight engraver. It is easy to use. I haven't used it very much but I engraved some metal tools without any problems. It is a very handy tool to have around the house.

This is a poorly-executed engraving tool, and the lettering guides are virtually useless. I would not recommend this tool to anyone!

Comes with one bit and I've already lost that after three days. Now i will pay he extremely high parts delivery cost. Why not have at store?

I'd like to leave more of a review, but I've spent the last three hours fiddling with the screw and tip. The tip doesn't go down far enough for the screw to even really touch it, let alone hold it in. I finally managed to get the edge of the screw to touch the tip and hold it in, however as soon as I turned on the engraver the tip fell out. I'm going to return this tomorrow and hopefully they'll have another one.

I got this engraver because I got a Craftsman 255 piece tool set for my birthday. This came with a $10 gift card and so I got this for less than $10! What a deal. I've not used it extensively yet but I've engraved about 30 tools and it is pretty easy to use. I found out on the box wrenches you only need to use a one which is a lighter engraving. If you use the higher numbers it goes deeper but is thinner and you have to trace over to get the letters wider. This also came with a stencil that I was excited about at first but it doesn't stay still when trying to use the engraver through it. I guess you have to use a Sharpie first then engrave over it. Cons: It is a loud little sucker I recommend ear protection if trying to say engrave a 255 piece tool set. I also had to take several breaks because the vibration would make my hands go numb. So, it is a good idea to turn it off every ten minutes and rest. Over all great product for a great price!

I bought the electric engraver for personal use at home and was quite surprised at how easy it is to use. It works great! I wondered if it would be underpowered, but to my surprise I have only had to use it on it's lowest power setting. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone needing such a tool.

Very good product. Makes steady straight lines and characters. Very easy to use. Easy to follow instructions. Compact makes it easy to use even for women. Only bad part of tool is that it only comes with one carbide tip. Other wise a very good tool. Very satisified with tool purchase.

I've used other engravers in the past and the Craftsman did not heat up in my hand or chatter uncontrollably across the metal I was engraving and after using for an hour my hand did not hurt at all.
