Great utility saw to have. First the fold over design makes it great for the toolbox. You can throw it in the drawer and have a less likely chance of grabbing the blade when your digging around. The blade cuts well and can be put in the pocket if you are moving around the yard

This saw has a sharp blade that proved able to cut through cedar tree branches up to three inches thick without a problem. It was purchased to replace a Stihl pruning saw that was removed from service last season. This unit appeared to be of similar quality for less money. Blade is replaceable on this model, too. Craftsman Forever guarantee is a big selling point also. The belt pouch that is included is a nice bonus. This was a very recent purchase but at this point I would recommend the product.

Utility Saws I have three Utility Saws for my backpack; Kershaw KER-2550 Folding Saw, Craftsman 7-1/2 in. Utility Saw, 12 TPI, #94919, and a Buck Saw. These are in the order of the ones I like most. I carry the Swedish "coated" steel Kershaw as it has most of the right balance of features (lifetime warranty). The Craftsman (Japanese steel) was my best price deal and my backup. If price is the number one item for you the Craftsman is the BEST deal. The Craftsman warranty is not for the blade, but is for the handle. The Buck Taiwan steel is nice, but not folding so is not a fair comparison. Craftsman 7-1/2 in. Utility Saw, 12 TPI, #94919 This is a pull-to-cut utility saw cuts most materials except metals. I bought this saw about 6 months ago. I have yet to find a branch that it can't go through and quick ! If you need a lightweight saw that cuts beautifully, this is the saw you're looking for. However, the blade is very sharp so be sure you're wearing gloves when you use it.

I had to trim my flowering crab trees a little deeper this year. I needed a good saw for the thick branches. I purchased the Craftsman 7-1/2 in. utility saw. It cut through branches 6 inches in diameter like butter. I am no macho man. I am a 68 year old woman. This saw will be used a lot. Thank you, Sears.
