cross force wrences are study and comfortable

these wrenches look to be built very well and are easy on the hands for things that have been torqed down or rusted tight 4 stars because angle may be restrictive but thats why they make other tools

I would recommend this product to a friend.

worth every penny

I use these wrenches everyday when working on elevators. They absolutely meet the standards that professionals look for in a hand tool. These wrenches are extremely durable, and the gripping surface is very easy on the hands. They also transfer force very well, so be careful on the smaller hardware.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Heavy Duty Tools

I Bought these tools in Sept 2010 I drop em, toss em, use the Impact on em so many times. Still have not broken the Reversible switches or it getting loose. The Ratcheting is still tight & sensitive. Effortless use of high torque in tight places. Easy on the hand when using impact gun. A very Reliable tool but there are no racks to store them

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not made in USA Anymore

Nice set of wrenches, has a Craftsman professional feel. Since these are no longer made in the USA, I would rate it at one star. Who wants to spend $10-$15 per wrench on a set made in china. Sears has segmented itself out of the market. There is cheap china stuff and high end professional USA made and craftsman was the middle tier USA made. Now it is high end china tools.

Junk, too expensive to break this easy good idea bad execution

My wife bought this set for me for Christmas. I was extremely excited because she got me the metric set the previous year. I use them constantly at home always having a few projects to do around the house. I love the feel of the cross force design, it truly is more comfortable on your hands. But my set has issues. Since Christmas of 2010 two of the ratcheting mechanisms have broke on me. 3/4 and 9/16 the 2 I use the most. Replacement is never bad with the lifetime guarantee, the main reason I buy craftsman tools. But this is too expensive a set to have failures like this. I use off brand ratchet wrenches (also the craftsman ratchet wrenches not the cross force) at work as an industrial maintenance man (they tend to walk if you don't keep an eye on them) and I beat the fire out of them and I have never had one failure. Come on sears lets have a little more quality control in your product. I would still recommend it and give it and average rating because I'm sure the poor quality is only in the ratcheting mechanisms and not in the overall design of the wrench.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best wrench ever

My dad was a Craftsman man, as was my grandfather; I am, too. You know about Craftsman quality. I have some co-workers who have Gear Wrench ratcheting wrenches, as well as the "regular" Craftsman reversible ratcheting wrenches. I bought 2 of the high-polish Craftsman reversible ratcheting wrenches and loved them, so when I heard that they were being made in a CrossForce configuration, I knew I would have them. The CrossForce is exactly as advertised: the wider grip is both more comfortable and gives you more torque. The ratcheting component is smooth and there is almost no play between when you ratchet back and when the bolt or nut turns. Do yourself a favor and buy these wrenches.
