I purchased this miter saw a few days ago and it cuts fine. Unfortunately the dust goes in all directions except to to the dust bag. I'm here trying to find a link to someone who knows the answer. I compared my saw to the one on display and they are identical. On the bottom there is a place for a bolt which might support a baffle that would prevent dust from going out the bottom but there is no mention of it in the instructions

I bought this saw for cutting aluminum extrusion based on the product description. The blade that comes with the saw DOES NOT cut aluminum very well at all. The blade would toss pieces of aluminum across the room which is obviously very unsafe. The only optional blade they offer for this saw is for cutting tile. I purchased a third party blade and much to my surprise the saw has a 1" arbor which is totally odd for a saw this size. After searching the internet I could not find anyone that made an 8 1/4" blade with a 1" arbor. I returned the saw to the local Sears store and they accepted the return with no hassles. The only positive with this experience is the local Sears staff was very helpful.

Doesn't cut what it says. Cheap. Not accurate. What ever happened to the craftsman quality tools made years ago?

works well and does a good job. biggest issue I have is that you can not get a good selection of additional blades for the tool. Maybe there is a reason for it, but I wish I had bought the 7 1/4 inch version of the tool.
