great saw
very portable and durable, this is my 2 nd saw purchased using this for a back up... only 1 major draw back has a 1" arbor hole for saw blade and NOBODY sells a 8-1/4" 1" arbor saw blade. A moron must have designed that feature into the saw. So think twice before purchasing this saw. You will have to purchase another saw when blade gets dull. Emailed cutomer service about this issue and just got the run around and hours of wasted time on the phone...Otherwise i just love this saw.

Owned less than 2 hours
Wanted to size down and after looking at this saw thought it would be great. WRONG. Took it out of the box. Adjusted for a 45 cut and saw that the lock for the blade was a cheap plastic handle located at the back of the cut platform. Not in front where it is easily reached. Turned on the laxer for the cut and even in the shade of my truck was barley visible blurry and was over an 1/8 of in inch wide not pencil thin and sharp. In the sun light it ( beam) was invisible. OK I don't usually use a laxer so moved ahead. Plugged in the saw. Laser is battery operated. Set my wood and pulled the trigger. NOTHING! No power. No Blade spin. Not even the hum to the motor. NOTHING. Packed it back into the box and back to sears. They asked me if I wanted to exchange it. Don't think so. Took me more time to locate and purchase this than the amount of time I owned it. Have recently found for just a few dollars more a Ryobi 10 in. saw that works great. With a laser. I would not recommend this saw to some I didn't even like.

replacement blade

unable to get blades for this item. You could order the one that it comes with it but that is the only style or down size to 7 1/4" and use circular saw blades

Average saw but a good deal

You get what you pay for. The saw cuts through 2 x 4's with ease. The saw does its job but there are some issues. The saw set at 0 degrees does not make a square cut. It is off by a couple degrees. The laser is also slightly off. The only other issue is that the saw dust bag is useless. The saw dust goes everywhere but in the bag due to poor design. For $60 the saw is still a good deal.

Overall
No Blades

The tool does what I bought it for-Cutting small moldings & the ability to store the machine in a closet(Small apartment w/ no storage)- but it is very limited because of the blade issue. There appears not to be any 1" arbor blades available. The blade it comes with is somewhat limited in quality of cut. Also, the battery cover for the laser falls off alot, not enough strength in the clips.

Overall
Great for cutting angle iron, now that I've added a third party blade

The multipurpose blade that comes with this saw claims to be able to cut angle iron 1/4 inch thick. It cut the first 1/8 inch angle with little difficulty, and then the metal started flying on the second. If you want to cut iron, or another ferrous metal with this saw, get the Oshlun steel cutting blade-like a hot knife through butter now. With this blade, you can't beat the value compared to a similar miter by the Rage brand.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
dust bag still a virgin

I purchased this miter saw a few days ago and it cuts fine. Unfortunately the dust goes in all directions except to to the dust bag. I'm here trying to find a link to someone who knows the answer. I compared my saw to the one on display and they are identical. On the bottom there is a place for a bolt which might support a baffle that would prevent dust from going out the bottom but there is no mention of it in the instructions
