Craftsman  8 Amp Impact Wrench

I had bought this impact 7 months ago and used it four times on light duty bolts and nuts. well today it broke, the motor runs but the 1/2" drive will not turn at all.

The impact met all expectations.

Bought this for lugs on my BMW. as usual dealer over tightened and I couldn't remove by hand. This tool zipped them right off! Some post complain about size and heaviness of this wrench, but its quality throughout. Nice to have without compressor. Great addition to my tool collection.

I have only used this wrench to take of wheels so far, but it did it effortlessly. love this wrench, really torky for an electric.

I bought this mostly for taking off lug nuts of cars, and it takes it right off. I have used it on lawn mowers and it works like a charm, didn't have to lock the blade or wheel to prevent it from spinning either. I even tried it on a 95 honda civic axle nut, came right off also, but it was not rusted. It comes with a carrying case which is handy because this thing is huge. I had trouble doing suspension work because it was so big plus the socket. Other than the size which doesn't bother me, its a great item. I give it a 10/10.

Works well with Lugs and even an axle nut. Highly recommended for anyone that doesn't have air.

It's heavy duty enough for any projects I might have. I bought it for working on my scooter- needed it to hammer off the lock nut on the rear belt pulley. Zipped it right off- (I couldn't find a way to lock the wheel from turning otherwise.) It's not as heavy duty, as say a Milwaukee, but it's good enough for home projects. It doesn't tell you what size it is on on web site- it's 1/2" (DOH). It also is not variable speed- that would be a nice feature. It comes with a nylon soft case that has plenty of pockets. Also the tool can be dis-assembled if needed to work on. (sometimes power tools need re greasing and new brushes if not used for some time)

This thing made quick work of struts on my 1993 Buick sedan. Worth every penny. An excellent value.

I did a lot of research waiting for the right impact for my uses. I needed something that would be powerful enough to work on several Subaru's that I own (and being in the salt belt, plenty of rusty bolts). I didn't necessarily need something that was going to disable a heavy duty truck. I settled on this impact, and shortly after I got it, I put it to the test taking off several bolts (subframe-105 FT-lbs/rusty, lug nuts-70 FT-lbs) just to test it. Took them right off with no problem! As long as it lasts, it should help me when I do my suspension upgrade soon, and much more work in the future! I highly recommend this for someone who needs an impact for a passenger vehicle at home. The carrying case that it comes with is slightly small, and the impact doesn't quite fit properly without bending the power cord (where it comes out of the impact), which I don't like... I would prefer a plastic case, but oh well. It will make a nice bag for toting other tools around.

this gun is powerfull.....it will work where there is no air available.it takes lug nuts off with ease. its great to have around to drive bolts on or off...highly recomend...
