I bought one of these tools a few days ago and added it to a small mobile tool set of Craftsman tools. The wrench jaws will open up as far as 1-1/8 inches which is the largest size wrench in this particular set. It did not take up much room in the tool box either. These are very reliable tools.

I worked for years as a professional aircraft mechanic. I had the full rollaway with multiple sets of sockets, drive sizes, and wrenches. When I looked at which tools I actually used over the years I was quite surprised. 90%+ of my work had been accomplished with five tool sizes. Those were 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 5/8, and 3/4 inch tools. With many of the specialty sets I had purchased I had used only one wrench or socket from the set. If you want to put together a small tool kit for the house you will experience the thing I did. You will only need a few sizes of tools. A small 3/8 drive ratchet set and this 8" adjustable wrench will cover everything you will encounter. I keep just such a tool bag in the house so I do not have to go out to the garage and open the rollaway just to find a screwdriver. On a budget? Need to save money but still need to do home repairs? The standard Craftsman adjustables offer a tremendous value. Don't confuse them with the cheap imports on the $1 discount tool table. This wrench is super smooth to use and will hold its settings.
