Best Adjustable Wrenches This Professional Owns

Why do you appear to be discontinuing them ?? The Ones that I have have a Gold Band where the Red is on this wrench. I would love to order more but the only place that I can find them is on **** as though they've been shelved as a Sears product.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

4 "wrench" more against Sears than the product.

So I picked up this wrench in the set about a year ago, I got a few sizes.  This past spring I was doing some extra heavy duty work and put a little too much torque on this wrench, borderline abuse. A stress fracture had formed from the back of the throat about a half cm up.  I thought, no big deal, it's a Craftsman.  I took it to my local sears and they informed me that they have discontinued them and clearanced the last out a few months earlier, and that all they could do was give me a base model.  I was amazed considering the versatility of these wrenches, I mean come on, both other reviews state: "The best adjustable wrench I have ever owned, " and if not for my experience after the fact I would have added to that.  I asked the guy why the heck they would stop making these, and he told me that Craftsman is getting away from there professional line because the production was sent overseas and the quality wasn't there anymore or something.  Sounds kind of fishy, but they stopped making them none the less.  Disappointed in Craftsman on this one.  Would have definitely recommended these to anyone.

craftsman beak jaw adjustable wrench is GREAT!!!

I have been a professional mechanic for over 30 years and i'm not a big fan of adjustable wrenches, until now. I purchased a 2 pc set of these beak jaw wrenches and have been very impressed with the quality, versitiity, and ease of use. They fit securely on bolts and nuts so as not to slip, and they allow me to comeplete the job faster and with fewer tools. The "beak jaw" feature allows me to get into places a conventional adjustable wrench would never fit and the extra wide jaw opening means one wrench fits a wider range of fasteners. Thanks Craftsman, quite possibly the best improvement on an "old" tool ever.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

beak jaw adjustable wrench

great wrench as usual craftsman. handle doesnt lose grip even when oiled. beak jaw design is especially useful when getting to bolts which are sunken with engine case around them. also the side have etched on metric and standard size so if you dont have the socket for it you know which size to go pick up! best adjustable wrench i have ever owned.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Belongs in every tool bag

Adjustable wrenches are very useful when you are trying to keep the weight down in your tool box or tool bag, especially when you have to carry it some distance.  The adjustable wrench always beats a full selection of both SAE and metric wrenches for weight.  The 8" size gives you the ability to handle some fairly large fasteners in an emergency.

The new jaw design on the "beak jaw" adjustables makes the traditional adjustable wrench even more useful.  This jaw design allows use it tighter quarters, you are able to get good purchase on fasteners where it would have been impossible with conventional design adjustable wrenches.  You still have to be very careful about slipping off...

Another Outstanding Offering in the Craftsman Professional Line

The Craftsman Professional series hand tools are truly in a class by themselves and this offering is no exception.

The thumb adjustment on this wrenchis smoother than any other I've seen on the market.  I like the soft coated handle which gives me added grip with wet or greasy hands.  The Beak-Jaw design let s you open the jaws of this tool wider that most of its Brand X counterparts and ensure a snug fit in tight areas.  I really like the graduated scale which is etched in the jaws.  It has measurements for both Standard and Metric sizes allowing you to pre-size the jaw opening to fit the nut...

I would recommend this product to a friend.
