Craftsman  8 pc. Reciprocating Saw Blade Set, Multi-Purpose, 6TPI

This set has every blade you could possibly need to start off. A good companion for a first time saw owner.

I retired from the Construction industry a little over a year ago.  After over thirty years in the trade qith the last 14 being a Custom Home Builder, I have collected a vast number of tools.  There is also no shortage of friends and family that want my help, tools and expertise at remodeling something around their home.

I don't mind helping.  It gives me a chance to keep my skills and blades sharp.

Lately I have had a rash of friends that are finishing their basements.  They generally ask for my help with the rough framing.  A good reciprocating saw is vital to tearing out old framing.  It is one of the few tools I own that is actually designed to cut through wood that it doesn't hurt if you hit a nail or two.

Having the right blade installed is critical for the reciprocating saw to be effective.  I like buying these assortment packs, because I never really know for sure what I will run into.  It is a good idea to be prepared for anything.

These blades have given me many hours of usage. They're very durable and maintaine their sharpness as well as any Reciprocating saw blades I've used. I've had my SawsAll for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of blades. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonably priced and durable blade.

These blades burnt up quickly. I rotated them in the project, using them only for their designed purpose, They still heated up quicker than other blades, I would not buy these again.

This set includes blades that will cut wood, wood with nails in it, metal and plastic. Fits m craftsman reciprocating saw and other saws. Also, as someone else said, the blades are Swiss made.

This assorted pack works very well with several different tools and the price is great for spares. they seem to work very well when using properly.

...but not cheap!  

The wife brought home a new fireplace grate since our old one has seen better days (contractor grade).  I went to remove the old one only to find out that it was held in place by some welded pins below the locating rings in the back of the firebox.  I tried to tap them out but quickly discovered they weren't coming out any time soon with a hammer.  On to bigger and better tools!

I went to the garage and retrieved my Craftsman reciprocating saw and could only find wood blades (hey, I'm a woodworker) so off to Sears I went.

I came home with this set simply because two of the blades were marked for wood with nails and since I've been working in the basement and some of the old studs were needing to be removed, I figured this would be as good a choice as any over the multi-purpose blade I had in it once before.

It took all of 3 minutes to get the old fireplace grate out and the new one in thanks to the metal blade.  Very nice, like a hot knife through soft butter!  I then grabbed one of my new 'wood with nails' blades and headed downstairs.  Again, an easy cut.  I like these blades and for the price they are a good value!  Nice job Sears!
